Got loads of washing done this morning and it is on the line drying now - it is rather grey here today and fingers crossed the rain will keep away until tomorrow as forecast.

Dinner is Roast Pork, etc but I have a lovely double lamb chop ( I am allergic to pork)

Nothing much to add so I am off to get the spuds peeled I will pop back later if I can x

  • Good afternoon ladies (and gents?),

Didn't manage to get back on here yesterday after posting to say hello on Friday as i was busy, busy, busy.

Decided to re-organise my bedroom and then painted the new boiler cupboard in the kitchen and spent 3 hours at the allotment helping dad out as it's become somewhat of a jungle whilst he's been ill and unable to get down, also cooked myself some yummy SW friendly curry - after all that i then went to work at my 2nd job at 7:30pm and didn't get home till 3am this morning so feeling very tired this morning.

Today has seen the dog walked at the usual 5am :eek: and then i went back to bed only getting up to eat the scrambled egg my dearest mum had made for me :o and then back to bed again till about 30 mins ago.

Off to the gym this afternoon after i've had my beef roast to try and ensure the scales on Tuesday show a loss :D

Looks a bit overcast here atm but i've just put a wash on so hopefully the rain will hold off so i can get it all dried on the line rather then reverting to the TD as it includes the single pair of work trousers that i can still wear without fear of flashing the world after losing almost 2 stone so far with SW.

Big hugs to everybody and i hope your Sundays are nice and relaxing! x

Weather is pants here so bed sheets are hanging round the house :(
Went to local Caravan dealer to have a nose at a 2nd hand caravan I quite fancy - any one got a spare £12K hanging around :o Shan't be doing anything until next year but it's nice to decide which type we would like.
Chicken pie contents are now cooking in the SC. Have to say YS chicken came from Morrisons - I'd have been fuming if I'd paid full price for it as it was massively overcooked. Good job I am using it in some pies.

Those of you with the Mirena - have any of you had daily headaches with it? It's been since last week and they're not pounding (although one was the other day but I think tiredness contributed to that) but am wondering if it's a hormone thing and a side effect of the coil......? If it carries on I shall go back to the Dr.

Falady - c'mon am getting impatient now LOL! :D

jellybaby - awwww how nice of your BF and his mum. Hope you buy something nice with it. Hope the pain eases soon xx

    Hi everybody,and welcome Shysarah,

We've been out this morning in the old jalopy, there was a car run in aid of our local Hospice, which is where my DDad died so I like to support them.Nice and pleasant, though a bit too breezy for my liking as we have the top down (its an old sports car).My brother and his mate came in his car too.We stopped off for a shandy half way round at a nice old pub, then signed in and back home for some soup & sandwiches.Thats my MSbit for today,we could easily have had some in the pub,but resisted.

Tea will be leftover prawn and mushroom pasta bake from last night as it was huge.I feel like making a cake too.

DS2 came home this morning from his night out :D.He has some boots he got earlier this year, admittedly the sole was beginning to come away, but its completely come off,no doubt left in a bar in town somewhere, and he's been walking round with just the upper laced round his foot :rotfl:I wish he still had the receipt as they were £60+ :(

Right better get a move on if I want to bake.
Redruby,we use some Autoglym leather care stuff on our suite-got it from Halfords as its for car leather really-seems ok :)
    xx

What's wrong with two days in a row? Two days in a row of going without would be unacceptable, imho!:rotfl:
    Happy Birthday to Mr Hester.:D:bdaycake:
Thankfully the Westies managed not to wee on the kitchen floor last night.:T:T:T:T Let's hope they can continue thus for the rest of the week!

I've discovered a hidden advantage to having a canine guest who needs an insulin injection at 06:30am; it means Mr LW has to get his butt out of bed, and not lie there til the best part of the morning's over. Were I in good health, I'd just leave him to it, but unfortunately I need his assistance to bathe and dress, so I can't get up (or at least not "properly" get up - mooching about in my dressing gown isn't "properly" up iyswim) til he agrees to.

I packed him off to the farmers market on his own this morning, on the pretext of the Westies needing me to stay with them.;)

I've since made a cheese, tomato, onion and Quorn quiche (half of which we had for lunch, the rest is for tomorrow night's dins), cheese straws for his lunch box, and blueberry fool.

Got to go, I think Cameron Westie wants to be let out into the garden.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi everyone,

I've finished my freezer inventory at last - it was interrupted by my bad back. I'm ashamed to say I threw out some things that had ben lurking for a long time (mostly bready things). My plan is to use up the other things in date order as much as possible.

I've also made a huge batch of chilli - using 1kg of mince and 6 cans of kidney beans, I must look at using dried beans in future but I'm a bit nervous about using kidney beans because of the toxins.

Apart from that just the usual Sunday tidying etc. DH is mowing the lawns and decorating.

My thanks buttons seem to have disappeared! Have they removed them - how will I know where I'm up to on the daily?

No I haven't, might be worth ringing the GP and see what they say xx

  • I am tired this afternoon. My sister came to visit with my wee neice who was on top form and hilarious. She is 16 months old, and the image of my sister when we were small, when I look at her it takes me back 30 years, so weird. Except my little tiny size 8/10 sister was a complete butterball when she was wee. :D Had a lovely afternoon laughing at her, and sis brought DS2 some footbll strips from her DS, one or two are practically new and only from last season, but are foreign ones, so he is chuffed to bits.

Dinner tonight is veggie haggis with pastry and veggies for DH and I, the boys are having sausage casserole as they won't eat the Haggis.

We have been thinking about sending the boys to private school for a few years now, for High school, and the time is coming to make the decision. The school we really like also has a Bursary available which is means tested, so we might be eligible for that, I am just not sure which way to go. If the bursary isn't available to us, its a huge financial commitment for the next 9 years, for one child it would equal my current salary every month, and if they both ended up there, I would need to go full time to pay for it, which wouldn't be a problem. But that's assuming all is OK with Oh's work, and the economy in general. There will be lots of sleepless nights and decisions to make over the next few weeks. The other thing is that we aren't middle class by any means, and although I know my boys are intelligent and well mannered, I do worry about them fitting in. Unfortunately, our friends who have children in private schools are all professional people, and wouldn't see where we are coming from if I were to ask their advice. I really wish there wasn't that sort of divide in society, but there is, and I wouldn't want my children to suffer in anyway or be made to feel left out if we send them. Having said that, the school we like has a really nice ethos, and it might be a non-issue anyway.

Oops I waffled on there:o That will teach me not to post when I am tired and my mind is preoccupied. As for the tax, it's not quite as straighforward as a decimal point, but it seems to be all their error, I am off to see someone at the tax office for advice tomorrow. Although its in OH's name, they will just be giving me general guidance on figures, and then once I've had it double checked by them I'll redo my calculation and send in a letter.

    Have a good evening everyone.
