    Morning all,

Bit gloomy and overcast here, hope it brightens up later on, as I have put our bedding in the wm, will get dd to strip hers once she is up.

Yesterday we got a lot more done in the spare room, just need top coat on the skirting now, I also shabby chiced (sp ?? ) an old wardrobe up :j, hopefully all the painting will be finished today, so tomorrow I can get the bed back up, and do the finishing touches, which is my favourite bit :D

Dinner today will be roast pork, roast spuds and loads of veg, I will only have a bit of pork, and a couple of spuds. Yesterdays hm lentil and veg soup was delish, and there are 2 portions left, which OH and I will have for lunch. DD is off out with her dad.

Shysarah, welcome, I 'think' I may suffer from gallblader pain too, every now and then I get the most awful pain under my right shoulder, sort of a sicky pain, never felt anything like it _pale_ have not been to the Dr yet, as I dont want to have an op :o, but I do find a low fat diet really helps.

Marie, I hope your shoulder pain has eased, and that you managed some sleep. xx

    Have good days all xx

Not sure anyone saw it yesterday, but what do you use to treat your leather sofas ????

Morning all...................................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Happy birthday to Mr Hardup Hester........hope you enjoyed your tea and choccy biccies????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible night....OH nagged me to death about my cough, last night he kept me awake coughing.....at 4am I gave up got him some lemon glycerine and honey and a cuppa for me, he went back to sleep, I dropped off sometime after 7.30am, only to be woken by the tractor going out just after 8am, so guess I will be needing a nap after lunch. I have told OH he HAS to make an appointment to see about his cough.

Nice morning, I have the towels in the washer, should get them dry.

I need to slice the gammon I cooked yesterday, 4 thick slices for supper, the rest sliced for a ham salad tomorrow and for sarnies, to go in the freezer. I need to start thinking about my quilting friend coming and also DD! and DSIL who are coming back with us....I need to get ahead of myself and get some meals in the freezer.

Not sure what OH is planning on doing this morning........suspect it will be something in the garden.

    Morning all,

Nice to hear everyone's news and welcome Sarah. Everyone on here is fab! I haven't been posting on the daily thread for long, and have been made to feel very welcome.:)

I had another good nights sleep last night (yay!) and baby Cub hasn't been wriggling quite so uncomfortably for the last few nights, so hopefuly she's got herself in the right position now, ready to arrive soon!:T

A good friend came over last night, and brought dinner with her, which was lovely. We usually host and cook for them, so it was nice that she cooked for us. I made apple and blackberry crumble for pudding with some foraged blckberries and a few eating apples which were beginning to go past their best. I even managed to make Birds custard without it going lumpy!:rotfl:

Today i have to take some slippers and tracky bottoms back to sainsbugs and might try and do a bit of cleaning. OH is going to put a catch on the linen cupboard door and put the other baby gate up, to try and prevent the cats going in our bedroom. Baby cub will be in there with us for 6 months, and i don't want the cats to go to sleep in her moses basket!

Apart from that - not much else planned. I'm taking it easy and resting as much as I can. Huge bump prevents much else!

    Have a good day everyone,

    Love Ali x

  • Morning :D

Happy Birthday to the minder, hope the rest of his day is as good as the start ;)

Welcome to Sarah, don't be shy!

Been up since 6.30am and done nothing :o Watched a film I had sky+ed last night, and then when the boys got up we watched Supernanny together :rotfl: I know, but they love it! DH is at work, he looked tired this morning, so I will pamper him tonight when he gets home. I have a few things to do today, curtains to change over, the slaves need to vacuum, and the toilet and bathroom floors needs a clean. I will make some granola, which I never did the other day, and I need to mealplan. My diet has been non existant, and there's no excuse, so I need to get my backside in gear. Lunch will be French Toast for the boys and salad or omelette for me depending on how I feel at the time.

Redruby, I don't treat mine anymore as it really can't be saved, but I used leather cleaning stuff I got from QVC as it was fab. Unfortunately I never used it often enough, which is why my settee is almost dead.:( Having said that, it is 12 years old, so I shouldn't complain!

Hugs to all the poorlies worried or missing have a lovely day!

Hello folks, been struggling this past week or so, but bum totally in gear now and here's to a new week. Two loads of washing done this morning and out on the line, slightly windy here so should dry without needing too much ironing.Big pot of soup made for lunch, last nights mince made into an american bean pie for tea (DGS loves this!) and meal planning all done for the week. Really have to go and do DH's accounts once I move from in front of this computer, and that should be me for the day with the chores. Got DGS this afternoon as his mummy is working so will go for a long walk, and may end up at the local highland games - he loves the pipebands and the drummers.

Hugs to all that need them, and hope you all have a lovely day,
    Suzy

  • Good Morning all,

Feeling fragile today as my bladder went into spasm, so am exhausted from tha pain and lack of sleep. Falady - I didn't manage to get on here yesterday and was hoping when I popped on today you would be in labour, I am sending you contraction vibes!

Had some lovely news on Friday, my boyfriend's Mum has given me £100 out of the blue to treat myself. The first thing I said was 'great that will pay for two pyschology sessions' but she banned this and said I had to spend it on fun things for myself, and my boyfriend said he will pay for my therapy. My boyfriend then produced a box of chocolates, it was too much and I started to cry and couldn't stop thanking them for being so lovely as I have been rather down since the 2nd accident.

Went to the local Autumn show where I used to live yesterday. I was really dissapointed as they only had 8 craft stalls and other years they have had 40! Also (and only you OSers will really appreciated this, they wanted £4 for a hotdog ) Still, managed to buy some lovely cakes and brownies, which I have started to demolish already!
OS wise, I been making more cards, you can check out my blog, just click on my name and click visit homepage.

I am really proud I have got OH off branded goods and onto supermarkets own, before we lived together he only ever bought branded items, so I think I have trained him well! :D
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!
  • Afternoon All

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. Woke at 7 and made a pot of tea, let the chooks out and fed them and went back to bed to read for a couple of hours. Don't think I have ever done this before and feel quite liberated!

It was forecast rain today but seems ok so far and quite a breeze so I have washed pjs and towels and have just put one of the throws from the settee in the machine. I keep throws on the sofas cos they are off-white. I spilled coffee on one of them last night so lucky the throw was on!! Also lucky it was me - the last time I did that it was red wine and it got the sofa cover!

The rest of the washing and ironing is all up to date - had to wash one sheet 3 times yesterday as the birds got it twice!

Not up to much today, having a relaxing day but need to catch up with some paperwork - also have a tax return to do some time. May even go out on my new bike again - gave it a test ride yesterday and it was ok but as the tyres are smaller than the other one it gives quite a bumpy ride, thought I was going to shake to bits.

    Have a good day. XX

Hi all! Hope you're all having a more OS and MSE day than me!

Bit of a grotty day so made myself a cinammon mocha and french toast with sausage and grapefruit for breakfast. Gonna pop a chicken leg casserole in the slow cooker in a bit as me and the BF are heading into town today. He's job hunting whilst I'm shopping waheeyyy! Primarni type shopping, but I love a bargain and am addicted to their £4 dresses which go with everything and last 3-4 months wearing them to death. Then we're going to rendez vous for the Kingston carnival, it's such a shame the weather has been good all week and today it's horrible!

I'm now quite glad I spent all summer working (literally! I moved home and started work the monday after lectures ended and moved back the day after work finished, with only days off to sit Uni exams) as I can now relax and just do bits of work for my Uni which are virtually guaranteed. I'm spending quite a bit at the moment as I'm going on a *cheap* holiday to Denmark and Sweden on wednesday, and treating myself to some new clothes, but I'm not too bad at budgeting week to week.
I worked out the money I've earnt over summer and the Uni work is equivalent to me working ~20 hours a week during term time at £6.00ph. I could never juggle that much work as I have 16 hours of lectures each week and am expected/need to do 40+ hours of work in my own time. That'd barely leave me time to sleep! Some people can manage it fine, but I know from working 30 hours whilst doing 5 A2s that it doesn't work well for me at all :(
If you couldn't tell with all number crunching, I'm a maths and statistics student :P
