aw MM what a wonderful end to the story, maybe now's the time to hot foot it down to a rescue centre and rescue another doggy?

What a wonderful relief for the owner as well, she must have been devestated to loose him.

I'm not good with words, but I feel all warm and fuzzy too.....
  • Yeah I feel great :) but a bit sad all the same, I kind of like old english sheepdogs. But I have two pesky little dogs of my own who have today dug up my flowerbeds.....who needs another!

  • I am so glad to hear that the dog actually had a loving and caring owner that missed him very much, what an ending. I wish there were more poeple like you around! I got goose bumps reading this.

MortgageMamma that is great news! A bit sad for you :-( but great for Bouncer, and at least you won't have to worry about paying his vet bill, and he's going back to somewhere he is loved.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
  • Aw, I love a happy ending! I know it's a bit disappointing that you didn't get to keep him, but it's nice to know he's been reunited with his owner, and she sounds like a good person. I wonder if she'll change her window cleaner...
  • I have found the RSPCA attitude is not a very good one if they need to travel far.

I phoned about an injured rabbit once i was basically told to leave it and let nature takes it course , also phoned regarding a baby bird what fell out of a tree was told to let that die...i kept the baby bird and fed it cat food and took it a wildlife sanctuary the next day..... even though it was hours from where i lived , they took it of my hands and they were going to raise it till its old enough to fly away ..... i did not feel right just to leave the bird to die, i would of just felt to guilty... i was pleased to see i wasnt the only one as they had quite a few birds in what the public had brought in :) as i did feel kinda silly but i am an animal lover

Also rang regarding an injured cat as it had a big hole in its face , they acted as if they were doing me a favor coming out ,but thankfully they did come out after waiting around 5 hours , but lady what come was very thankful and she did say they get extremely busy.

So understandle why they couldnt rescue a bird i guess but i didnt have a car myself but i dont like to see any animal in distress and if i can help it in anyway then i will

Well Done! You are a very good person.

I am glad to hear the happy ending after all that!

A stray dog has to go to the dog warden (and therefore the pound) for 7 days before it can be legally passed on to a new owner. The police have no authority over it.

Then I'm glad the police in my area don't seem to know or care too much about the law! If they had at least 4 poor dogs would have ended up in a pound rather than back with their owners within hours!
