It's all just laughable really, these jokers that send these mickey mouse tickets out.
Great, so i can sit back, relax and not worry about the letters that are to follow???

Ignore Yes! Unless your Mickey Mouse!!!:p
  • Hi please help ! I am obviously one of these people that MET prey on and i hope i dont give in!

I parked in Sainsburys last October.I left to get back to my car 10mins before the expiry time only to find a man taking photos of my car and had already issued me with a ticket. According to his camera i was 5mins late but according to my time i was fine. I received my first letter only this month which was then followed by a 2nd which has 6 photos of my car, including the ticket with the time and the time on their camera !

I have read many posts on here and im relucctant to pay a fine which is now £125...i refuse to make contact disputing my case as i fear they will not listen.

The carpark they operated in is run by another parking company who have said that MET dont operate for them (but i think they did at some point)

    What should i do....im such a worrier!

    What should I do ?

Well for start stop worrying, MET are very well known on here and they don't do court, the reason is that invoices like yours are not enforceable, which means you follow what I put in my signature below, so in essence you do the following:

    IGNORE !
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

As Taffy says ignore them, its a speculative invoice "asking" you to pay. It carries no authority. its not a fine the letters are an attempt to scare you in to paying. If you read them you can actually see how pathetic they are! Full of "if's" "May's" or "could's"
  • Okay, so regardless of if they have ever operated for this car park, ignore. I must say i think that its disgraceful how they operate!
Is it correct also that baliffs cannot do anything unless they have an official court order?

    Thankyou for the quick replies

You are correct. The procedure to appoint a bailiff only comes into play if the case goes to court, the defendant loses, and then refuses to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Thankyou all, i feel much more confident now! Ive also watched a few links that are on here, which have confirmed my decision NOT TO PAY
  • If you go onto youtube, type in MET Parking-Watchdog, this will give you that last bit of reassurance. The guy makes a paper airplane out the ticket and throws it across the studio, says it all really. :D
