  • We are having a day in pisa for half what it would cost to go to london. This forum would be a far duller place were it not for MOL, as people have said some reporters must have gullible stamped on their forehead:rotfl:

I wish people would stop lambasting the man. He is pretty much single handedly the reason people in Europe fly for pence. Ok, he may have stole the idea from the US, but lets be honest. Before Ryanair there was nothing. Well except for that airline that got munched by BA, can't remember the name.

    Be grateful.

10 Feb 2006 ... Sir Freddie Laker, the Briton who pioneered cheap air travel in the 1970s, has died in Miami aged 83.

I would love to do a day trip to somewhere like Pisa but can't seem to find flights that go early and come back late.

I'm old enough to remember that people pooh poohed the idea about getting rid of bus conducters and the second man in the cab of the then new diesel trains

Thats how we can do a DAY trip. If you do it over 2 days you can go and come back at lunchtime.
  • Yes, I have done the two day trip thing but fancied just a day shopping trip.

Check flights to Florence which isn't too far from Pisa - also remember you don't have to use the same airline both ways nor return to the same airport
