While we are on cheap furnitire I recommend Emaus if there is one near you. Not sure they would have much nursery stuff, but for other rooms they are fab.
And someone has taught my daugher to shake hands. She keeps shaking my hand and saying good morning to me! Anyway, very tired girl here, off to try our luck at a napIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Smartie, forgot to say, we encountered someone like that whilst buying a padlock. He did a bit of higgledy piggledy and whatever, and wished Sophie blessings and lots of friends. Bit strange like, but it takes all sorts...

Afternoon everyone, hope everyones good?
Another cot escapee here! just caught her mid climb after i'd put her down for a nap, asked her to show me how she does it and she was using the bedside cabinet as a climbing aid so have shifted that and will hopefully put her off for a while! my sis is babysitting tonight so not a good day to discover this lol!!
I appear to have won some baby show ticket/s (not sure if its one or two), but its in earls court london, too far for me! was wondering if Bruno fancied them for mrs bruno? i really wanted to go when i was pregnant, if not if anyone else is close enough give me a shout, otherwise i'll just stick em on ebay,

Susan, I'm afraid I'm not much good at picking up Sophie's cues yet, we were about to go out, and she did the biggest poonami ever, which I totally didn't see coming! Think it's something I need to work on.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Those Teddy books look ace redstar. They are definitely going on Benjamin's Christmas list.
I read 'Guess How Much I Love You' last night, it was okay but not the relaxing success that 'Down on the Farm' has been - Benjamin wanted to hop and jump on the pages where the nutbrown hairs were hopping and jumping :rotfl::rotfl:
We do read books whenever Benjamin will sit still, it is just finding relaxing ones (or ones that my son will relax to) that I am struggling with!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
We have the little bear book set "can't you sleep little bear?" etc... They're very relaxing... I got ours from the book people with the stories on CD...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

ooh, I'm finding lots of old favourites now - I'm going to have to get them for F!
This was one of A's favourites from nursery. She gave us a shock when I choose it for her from the library because she sat down and 'read' it to us - turned the pages at the right time as well! Then we found out that she had memorised it at nursery!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

We are going to a party on Sunday 24th which I would like Benjamin to dress up for...and then he can wear it again for his pre-school on the Friday before halloween and then again on the night (getting my moneys worth!)
I have had a quick look but a lot of them seem to be aimed at babies...he is a bit big for a babygrow type costume now.
What is everyone else doing?
my mum bought Annabel a hungry caterpillar costume from somewhere (probably in a sale!). It's very cute, but makes her look like a boy :rotfl: Asda had some toddler costumes in today - skeletons and witches i think. they weren't hugely inspiring. Our Stokke has been so badly damaged by Sleazyjet that it can't be repairedwhich means that Easyjet owe us a new Stokke :j but who knows how long it will take

we've had a lovely morning. We went and splashied in puddles at a place called Almond valley. Fab place. But now my littel darling won't sleep. She's moaning and very tired but cried in the cot until I gave in:o so she's up ad recovering from her ordeal by beig wrapped in a duvet watching a peppa pig DVD so mummy can have 1/2 hour peace an quiet.
For once I don't feel bad as I know that its what we both need! My busy week has finally caught up with mer.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
