How early did people first experience proper 'false labour' type pains? OH is only 31 weeks and today (and a couple days ago, but not yesterday) has been getting some serious, have-to-lean-against-something or go on all fours type pains which are quite contraction-like... they're nothing like regular or etc, but they're quite debilitating and it will be bad if she is having them most days for the next 2 months, especially when alone with Elijah :/

bruno - i had some types like that for about 3 days every fortnight or so... and more so in the last 4 weeks because Bubba turned up...

Maybe google some breathing techniques to help her relax.... i know i dont know you v.well but it seems like you're all feeling the stress lately.... and especially your missus, needs to be relaxing, and centering herself emotionally.... not sure if that makes any sense. Xmas sent me a hypno birthing cd copy which really helped pre my labour to calm me down....

I had Braxton Hicks from about 18 weeks I think Bruno, and they got progressively stronger as time went on. Towards the end they were strong enough to wake me up. When my contractions actually started I thought it was more BHs, then my waters went so I knew they were the real thing!

I'm not sure if that information is even helpful to you!

Bruno I was getting them from 26 weeks whenever I was too hot, too stressed, trying to do too much or too dehydrated.

    I hope she's ok.

Bruno, from about 28 weeks with DS2 and 16 weeks with Amber. They do seem to get worse with each baby. And if you are a person who is going to be sensitive, just not drinking regular is enough to set them off.

But do I remember correct that Mrs.Bruno is a diabetic? With Amber I had keytone issues from about 33 weeks which meant I had constant irregular non progressive contractions. Which wasn't nice at all.

She should speak with her mw just to be sure, but BH in second (+) pregnancies do feel more like real contractions that they did in first pregnancies. Tell her too keep drinking regulary throughout the day and breath through them.
