Morning all

I'm currently trying to follow the flylady thread. I try to post when I can but Caitlyn is so active now I barely get time. It's good to see the things being crossed off the list (so ideal for you SS!) and it's helped me keep on top of things even though I've only been doing it a couple of weeks. I haven't actually done anything yet today, but I have been down to my mum and dads and hoovered, dusted, cleaned the hob, changed the bedding and hoovered upstairs. Mum doesn't know I go so I hope I haven't left anything out!

Caitlyn is asleep now so going to take the opportunity to get some jobs done!

Hi pinkpig :wave: I did notice you on flylady the other day. How come your mum doesn't know you go round, if you don't mind me asking?

We're about to go and have cous cous for lunch, not sure whether this will be a good idea or not

We got our Nuby cups, she cant use them for another 6 months but oh well

I've never had one. More for wimpy reasons, though i would confess to not finding the thought any easier even after having a baby. I don't feel that i'm in a high risk category due to your point above, but my best friend was horrified that I haven't had one and keeps threatening to march me down to the GP herself!

Lo has been very good this morning, but a bit whiney as up most of the night Took her to soft play place this morning to help ensure she ate a good lunch before nap. I ts my plan to make sure she sleeps for a decent amount of time. She's got big bags under her eyes Howver, it didn't stop her chatterbox ways. I've had a running commentary from about 3am this morning.

A: mummy, covers pull up, night night.
me: humpf, night
A: Mummy? night dark, not morning. More calpol?
me: no - now night night, go to sleep.
A: Mummy? morning! Night! morning! covers pull up, down, up, down, hello toes!
me: *ignores chatter*
A: night night mummy. *starts singing head shoulders knees and toes*

very sweet, but I was exhausted and so was she - DH went to the spare room so A could share with me as her teeth seem to be hurting her lots. after two hours she feel asleep and I finally got some rest. But it was was cute.

It hurts less than when they check how many cms dilated you are, honestly i promise i am a wimp and as long as you are relaxed you can hardly feel it, imo for the sake of 1 minute of shame its worth the peace of mind.

Went to playgroup this morning, its great, jasmine loved it, not many there but there were twins the same age as her there so that was nice.

I don't mind at all.....
My mum drinks an awful lot. She works part time but the rest of the time she sits and smokes whilst playing on her DS. She plays the same game over and over - so much so that she has scratched the screen of her DS which she only got in January. She can be very moody and seems to hate my dad. He just goes along with her for a quiet life. She's fine with everyone else. She takes Josh out - it's difficult though because she doesn't know that we all know she drinks. It's impossible to talk to her about it because she is in denial and would just make my dads life hell. She spends all her money and more on drink and cigarettes, and so my dad has 3 jobs in order that they can pay the bills and put some by. He does all the housework, she doesn't seem to notice or be interested in it. I told him that now I'm not working I would go down and do the housework to save him doing it. He refused at first but I think he's glad of the help. So she doesn't know because 1) she wouldn't like to think I was doing it 2) if she did know she'd be horrible to my dad.

Sorry that was a bit long winded wasn't it!

We're having trouble with the outings she wants to take Josh on at the moment. She likes going on coach trips with him but it's always the same 2 places, and she always takes £100 out of the account to go with, but doesn't spend all that, just spends the rest on drink. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Josh is at risk when he's with her. She drinks at night and I don't let her drive him anywhere. It's just difficult because of the attitude she has.
