GISI, forgot to say that the shelves in H's room look so cute! I had wanted some of the Lidl ones, so may need to go to Argos quite soon. Right now, the toys are rather spread all over the lounge floor instead
. Well done your charity shop find, too! I was eyeing up black skirts yesterday, but I didn't have £3 in change :rotfl:. top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

I too would like Weezl's version of the cheesecake. DH was watching nigella with me and he has demanded that I make it
So I may as well make Weezls
Also, Amber is growing OUT OF 12-18 month clothes! All the nice winter stuffI bought for her may be too small come Christmas. She has just suddenly got massive!
Oh yeah I wanted to get her a bracelet for Christmas since I forgot it for her birthday.
And I also sat on my daughter earlier. She crawled along the sofa and I squished her. She was not amused. And I feel totally bad for squishing her with my fat butt! It was funny in a perverse way though, she just lay there, squished, and yelling!0 -
The thought of a squished Amber just made me LOL, in a nice way (and I only say I LOL'd if I actually did).
The shelves are in the lounge, Aless, although I may move them upstairs once the changing station is gone. I think the are good for £16.99 and much more usable for H than most storage solutions.
Anyone want a free crafty book? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=2766188. Well £2.95 P+P but I've ordered the boxes and wotsits one, maybe a pressie, maybe to keep!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

May I suggest that you PM any ebay details that might turn up?
Especially if one of them happens to be that furry coat? Or pre-ebay details if you want to dodge the fees. And I also sat on my daughter earlier. She crawled along the sofa and I squished her. I hope she's fine, but :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

SS, would she still fit 6-9 dress and leggings?
The purple coat still fits her. Did you get one? My asda still has them if you want one sent over. I don't think anything else will be in good enough condition, but I will have a look.0 -
Edit: I feel like paid help would be giving in
I know this feeling well. But caz and others are right. For what its worth, I think that for a child to be happy, they really need a happy mummy. it takes all sorts of things to make people happy - you just have to find what works for you and your family. It might or might not be what has workd for others, but the main thing its that it works for you.
I had quoted other things but they have disappeared!
I went to the playgroups sale of work today with a friend. We left babies with daddies
and got great bargains. Some jigsaws, a couple of books, 2 cookery books for me, a wooden train that is brand new and all for £5 including coffee and a biscuit! It was also nice to see a mummy friend wihtout LO around.
My mobile phone is giving up the ghost and its chrger has just died so off to read up on how to get a replacement withough needing a new contract or spending much money - Its wasted on me as I only txt and call - I don't need cameras and t'internet etc....
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

No
and Caz very kindly sent her fairies with a coat but it got lost on the way
We do have a winter coat but I was all *love* about the furry one. Ah well - Molly will be warm whatever happens.
Husband's gone for a snooze. I've played with the baby, done the dishes, tidied up, put the first load of laundry in and almost been flattened by falling wood out of a broken Ikea box. Things are ok, I think.
And thanks MacSmiler, I try to be a happy mummy and most of the time I'm ok.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hello everyone
Hope everyone is well, I really cant remember what has been said
Theo has had his neck checked and apparently its a swelling on his neck muscle and needs some physio, I am a bit concerned about having to do the physio exercises myself but if it helps him I will try anything.
Good news... MY OH HAS A JOB!!! He has been out of work since May when his fixed term contract ended and he has applied for thousands of jobs (no joke!) and he sent a CV and letter to a company that he drove past and had looked up and thought it sounded a v interesting place to work. They wern't advertising but they phoned him for an interview Thursday.. and he starts Monday! I am so relieved as we were living off my SMP which doesn't even cover the rent.
I am terrified though as this means I will be alone everyday with Theo, I know this sounds stupid, but I am really nervous. I have had odd days, but this will be everyday and he will be staying overnight lots too as he will be working all over the UK/ Europe. I havent even taken Theo out on my own in the car yet.. and we live in an area you have to drive everywhere as there is nothing here. I am sure I will be ok but I do just worry...0 -
Kitkat, that's fab news. I remember you from the preggo thread when he lost his job - it must take the pressure off you having to go back to work early :j
I hope Theo's exercises aren't too scary, there'll be some mums on here way more experienced who I'm sure can offer you some advice if need be.
MFD, are you on commission for Sophie the Giraffe? Here's a piccie of madam enjoying hers:
