Great news Beenie, I did wonder about the heating as you said they are doing the houses up, they are hardly efficient and I would imagine they have targets to replace them.

Pants about the shopping Tia, was it the store you rang?

Learning to pedal is very tricky, some kids take ages.

Sami - how old was Chris when you bought his trike and could he ride it properly? I am thinking it is more for next year than for this...I don't want to be jumping ahead of myself and then kicking myself because I have nothing to buy him next year.

Benjamin will be 21 months this Christmas, so 33 months next Christmas....or will he be looking for a bike by the time he is getting on for 3?

It was last year so he was 35mths old, he couldn't really work it and still has a bit of trouble grasping how pedalling works it would have been better timed to get him it this summer really but as his birthday is January we tend to buy things and just muddle along until he's ready in summer. I agree with Krystal though that a cosy coupe would get more use - we'd bought one already tho.
Chris is totally spoilt he has a bike at mum's a cosy coupe, trike and scooter at IL's.

I'm totally stuck for Christmas ideas for Edgar! So far we have the loop de loop thomas thing that I got for £11.20 and that is it! Christopher is pretty much done though, only £20 left of his budget and new PJ need to come out of that

Alice never learned to pedal her trike because the pedals were too far away. We gave her a bike about a month ago and she's getting on much better with that. The trike was a bad design really although I don't know how common it is as we didn't actually buy it.

i wouldnt think B would be ready for a bike/trike until next year, Charlie has a balance bike and its only been recently he has used it. He struggles with pedals and we found this easier for him, we have a cosy cope and they all love it!

    Great news Beenie!!!

The rain is lashing down here and it has not let up for a minute, i bought the biggies new welly boots and then treated myself to a pair! i couldnt get them to fit around my calf so went to the riding shop. They were twice what i wanted to pay but they have a special lining and sole which makes them super comfy and like wearing slippers :D
I have lots of washing/ironing and cleaning to do but am enjoying the peace for 5 mins when the big 3 will get in!

AF here's what is on ebay already http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=powerlite+trike&_sacat=0&_odkw=retro+trike&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

Another thought about it though is that when we first got it Chris could barely reach the pedals :p so not much use before 3yrs if you have a shortie like him
