And in other news, I am feeling suspiciously similar to how I did 7 1/2 weeks ago.

The past two days jake has come home in tears because of dinner time at school, im so chuffing annoyed, both days there wasnt any deserts left by the time he went up so he got a piece of fruit, so he had to sit there with an apple while other kids were tucking into chocolate cake

Our primary has choices for both mains and desserts and they pick both courses at the counter. They have the classes on a rota, so one week Reception has first pick, then next week Year 1 go in first and so on. Everyone gets a chance of getting first dibs so nobody ends up having the leftovers every day. If they don't have such a system, maybe you could suggest it?

Food shopping is my favourite kind of shopping though. The first day off work I had after I got a "proper" job I spent over three hours going round Tesco.

I spend so long in supermarkets for work that I hate doing my own food shopping :o I tend to rush in, grab what I need and leave as quick as I can! Stops me impulse buying though :D

He has just come out and they have decided to set up a new division of their bigger company specialising in hubby's field and they were going to approach hubby to run it :j:j

That's brill news. Well done Mr MFD :j

Sir Monster, it sometimes takes them a while to figure out the difference between day and night. Molly was a nighttime = playtime baby for a while too but eventually keeping it very dark and quiet at night and very bright and loud during the day taught her the difference.

I did this as Charlotte was waking more in the night than in the day at first. Was Thomas born at night? Charlotte was born just before midnight, and the midwife said that evening babies think they are born at the start of the day, so they tend to get night and day mixed up more than babies born in the mornings do.

I'm very very sad right now. My best 'mummy' friend has just told me her husband has a new job (yeah friends husband), but in London - thats bout as far away in the UK from us now as possible. I'm so sad. But happy for her and being positive and upbeat and I know we'll keep in touch, but I'm still sad. We spent quite a lot of time together with the LOs being the same age and Annabel actually plays and likes her LO lots. :(

awww that's such a shame :( Hope you find a new mummy friend soon xx

I rang them when i was pregnant about getting help for here and they said it's only for old people who can prove they have no able bodied family to do it for them. Stoopid.

Not sure what state the house is in, it might be liveable for a bit but might need doing before we move in. Am gonna go nosey through the windows now :rotfl:
That's a bit rubbish - it says it's for elderly and vulnerable people so I would have expected you to qualify as a single mother of two small children. (But I guess they probably assume single mothers have done it deliberately in order to scrounge.)

I thought so too Susan but they don't care :(

I really hope i don't look a fool tomorrow if they decide i can't have it. They want to interview me face to face so i'm not sure what they'll be looking for. My mam is on first name terms with the woman who is interviewing me so she's already left her a voicemail telling her to make sure i definitely get it LOL.

Yeah he will be eventually but when i asked him if he'd want to live over there, he said he'll miss his friends round here.

There is one young lad he likes, who's mam is a junkie so his clothes are raggy/small and he gets bullied by all the scumkids, my DS is worried he will have no one to play with when we go :( I feel sorry for him but i think he'll be ok with another nice boy that comes here.
