    morning all

quinny-gate update. I got two emails this morning, the first said "why didnt you say this when you collected it?!" and the second "when can you return it?"

All i've sent back is friday around 10am, do you think i need to address the first email? i dont want to get into a confrontation as such about it, but the first one seemed aggressive to me... and i dont see why i should have to explain myself.... say it had been a courier collecting it/a friend, they wouldnt have checked it over......

And he actually hast said yes i'll refund you, just when can you bring it back ?

so now i need help again finding another.....

  • That's great news kindof. That's exactly what I'd do if we came into any money - pay debts off. I'd feel rich if I wasn't paying out all the repayments every month!

    Fingers crossed, Susan :)

I have a question that I could do with a quick answer to Thomas appeared to be over his cold but woke up crying and bunged up again last night, and is snorty and snuffly again this morning. Otherwise he's very well in himself. We're supposed to be going swimming in an hour. Do you think it's ok to take him?
As long as you think he's well enough to still enjoy it, I don't think there's anything wrong with taking him if he's just got a cold.

I'm so blonde lately! I actually remember reading that post.
I also keep talking bizarre things. Like getting my words mixed up - I told L earlier that her dinner was in the shed, instead of the oven. And it's a several times a day occurance. :(

Ths happened to me when I fell pregnant - it was very pronounced. Have you something to tell us 3? :rotfl:However, I have to confess to still having the same problem.......i'm always mixing up words. I'm so pleased I don't go to work where I'd have to hold it together. Can you imagine me in court 'the accused was seen running from the slide...I mean 'the scene' your honour' :rotfl:

I would take that as the start of the new bedtime routine and start putting her down awake... Maybe give her the last bottle in her room and put her straight in the cot afterwards... She's obviously getting good at self settling herself :)

I agree AF - it sounds really positive and A went through that phase and now goes to bed totally awake and falls asleep quite quickly by herself. It just takes some of us longer than others ;) But we are getting there AF :j:j:j
And this is what I was looking for :D

did you buy them and like them? I'm thinking of making the trip......

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • Oh MFD - did your in laws make it to the Isle of Wight? I've been wondering all week, but hadn't managed to come and ask you!

LOL - yes they did! They stopped in a hotel in Ashburton and travelled over to Southampton on the Monday morning. Although MIL called hubby on the Monday afternoon saying 'Oh son, I need your help, you won't believe where we are' and when hubby panicked and asked where she said 'In the caravan and it is bl00dy lovely' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Last day at work here for me. It is very strange. Office is all packed up and there is only me here. Just a few things to do before I hand the keys back...

Assistant bought me a bottle of Bollinger :T:T she knows me SO well!

They didn't have them. They had the bizarre deli selection that comes on a chopping board with a knife (which just looks too bizarre for me!) but I didn't buy it!! I just laughed and pointed!

I once gave Alice a cuddly toy I hadn't intended to as she loved it so much. She insisted on carrying it home in her arms and when we were almost home she sighed and said, "I'm so happy because I've got this puppy."

That is so sweet. It would be a hard mummy who could have taken it off her after that.

 Drinks are on MFD!! :rotfl:

Glorious blue sky here today - I've put some washing on to celebrate. Rock n roll.

I would ignore the first e-mail and just engage in the communication which is going to get you what you want (i.e. the refund). If you do want to write an angry reply, wait until you've got your money and then do it.

    Good Morning Everyone!

    How are we all?

Well a bit of an update seeing as I haven't been on here for awhile.

We spent the majority of the summer at my mums because we planning Sophie's christening (which was held down there) and hubby was on a course in England so in order for him to see us each weekend me Sophie and our doggie stayed with my mum. Which I can say, I never want to do again!
My mum loved having Sophie and was a help with looking after her, but I just couldn't do anything my way or how I wanted to. You would never think I was a mmaried woman, 31 and had a baby!
I was so glad to leave!

The christening was lovely, had a few hiccups, most of our friends couldn't make it, my dad didn't come, Sophie's godmother couldn't afford to make so my sister stood in her place.
But hubby's family came over and got to meet Sophie for the first time so that was lovely.
Travelling back to Scotland was a bit scary because the car was that packed full of stuff hubby couldn't see out the back window!
Sophie was fantastic during our travels, we travelled through the night so she slept the whole 9 hour car journey! Even our doggie Alfie was brilliant!

Sophie has settled into her little routine of such. She is on four bottles a day of 8oz, the last couple of days she has taken 3 small solid meals. She goes to bed about 7pm and wakes up about 7am, a few moans in the night but just her dummy back and she is fine.
Awake throughout the day with only short 10 min naps. She loves to sit up in her playpen with her toys, and loves to stand up with our help.
She doesn't like any kind of baby food apart from rusks.
And I can't believe she will be 6 months in a few days!
Hubby was meant to be going away today for 4 months but he's not now, I am a little disappointed, I mentally prepared myself for him going and now he's not:o. But at least he will be here for Sophie's first Christmas:j:T
