Well, suspecting FIL's presence may lead to a disrupted/changed bedtime anyway, but otherwise the plan is to give it a couple of weeks then see if my presence regresses things still. Poor OH has trouble carrying him to bed at the mo and that'll only get worse so I should really get back into bedtime involvement as soon as possible...!
When we are in the same place overnight as OH's parents, we usually plan on Alice going to bed the same time as us on the first night because she's always too excited.

Bruno, I've subbed a large bit of oatmeal for flour before. It won't go as 'crumbly' as flour, butter and sugar, but taste good.

Susan, the nearest Ikea to us is Leeds, so going on for 70 miles away. Unfortunately that's a bit too far to go regularly - probably a good thing for my wallet though!

This was a few minutes after I'd told Josh we were having Asda meatballs and he looked puzzled and said "but you don't shop at Asda?" and I said I meant Ikea not Asda :o
I've certainly never gone to Asda for fun.

I see - I certainly wouldn't go if it was that far away. And I didn't like the Leeds one as much as ours. (We stopped there for dinner on a journey home in August.)

    *whispers*

And in other news, I am feeling suspiciously similar to how I did 7 1/2 weeks ago.

Gosh, Susan. Fast mover! Fingers crossed for your whispers.

Thanks Bexta, I wanted to make it with an oat topping originally, but I also want to make it today and I don't have any oats. So will mix some oatmeal in with the flour and shrug I think.

    Fingers crossed, lovely Susan.

After a couple of days barely eating enough to keep a large ant alive, Molly's polished off a banana, half my toast and most of a bowl of cereal this morning, and just came over for some boob. Sadly she got distracted by something shiny so now I have a massive heavy pair of boobies and an escaped baby. Fortunately I know exactly where she is cause I can hear her chatting to something.

She keeps waving at the ceiling in the mornings. If she sees dead people I will be drastically upset :o

Edit: MY BP VOUCHERS ARE HERE!!!

  • Morning all.

We've had a long night, and this morning a poorly tummy, which I think must have been the culprit. There is always something isnt' there. I can't face noisy toddler group this morning, and it is the hv clinic on thursdays, which I've been meaning to go to for a while. I don't need/want to speak to a hv, but I want to use the scales and measure how tall she is now. I'm not worried about her, just not done it sine January, and I'm nosey :)

And there may be a visit to poundland, and a purchase of some wrapping paper, so I can wrap the christmas presents as I get them, rather than leaving them all to the last minute. And seeing as we have just a little bit of a bus obsession at the mo, there will be a trip on the bus on the way home :)

(edited to add:) Fingers crossed Susan.

Oh, and I was also going to say that I got my BP amazon voucher :)

My lovely friend who made my wedding cake can't make it to the christening as she has a prior engagement :(

I think what I'm going to do (altho I feel a bit tight!!) is buy a really cute cake that I saw in Asda today which had a giraffe on it and then some baby graphics, like a bottle, carved into the icing for £6.99 and get some personalised ribbon to go around the base.

If I can't get that one then there was a cute winnie the pooh cake as well.
For Aimee's 1st birthday I wanted a sponge, I ended buying a cake from tesco that had pink roses and something like "best wishes" written in icing... I removed the decoration, scraped off the writing and wiped the cake over with a clean damp cloth and then decorated over the top... You couldn't tell once I'd finished :) If you lived closer I'd offer to have a go at one for you... got a few months until I need to make another cake...
We have a Ghost one Krystal, just so you know yoy are not loosing it. But it is about 3 years old, so it may have been replaced by the cat.
Thank you (and Sami) for proving that I am indeed not completely nuts ;)
Ah bless - I can tell you never used it...it IS large and cumbersome when folded, you need a big car, you need space in your house to keep it...but once you have used it you don't give a shpit!!!
It's that grim I wouldn't even sit her in the seat to try it out

And our children we so cute together :) I was telling D all about Benjamin sharing his last raisin too lol.

And I should have bought 2 of those bunnies... Caitlyn hasn't put it down since she discovered it in the bag... It's going to be difficult giving it to Mallory now!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Susan, will say a prayer it's what you are hoping for.

Yes, my BP voucher came, too, yayyyyy!

SS, DH is convinced that Finn can "see" our resident ghost (I should clarify DH thinks we have a resident ghost. I remain, as always, skeptical).

Feels suspiciously like a Friday, probably because it is payday.
