Slightly jealous of all this Ikea talk, OH hates it with a vengeance, so we only go once a year. Used up this years getting furniture for madam.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I haven't used my SC for ages - this week we have had stir fry, asian broth and risotto, tomorrow is bangers & mash and friday will be chilli which is already in the freezer.
Your asian broth sounds interesting? Recipie?Krystaltips wrote: »(I found the Stokke to be quite big and cumbersome when folded... But maybe the fact it was disgusting dirty just completely put me off it lol)
OH & I have just had the same conversation. If we lose the DLA, we lose the big car. I said to OH we'll just have to get a cheap run-about or just use his silly car. He said if that happens, I'll have to lose the Stokke because it won't fit in a normal sized car! I would rather lose a limb.salesshopper wrote: »OMG have just seen stokke winter kit - stamps foot and pouts I WANT ONE.
With a furry muff? I so NEED a furry muff. *snigger*
Bruno Lovely to hear from you. I was worried you'd been hiding in the spare room and had been forgotten about. I'm so glad you're hiding is working and you're getting a bit more sleep.:beer:0 -

We have a Ghost one Krystal, just so you know yoy are not loosing it. But it is about 3 years old, so it may have been replaced by the cat.0 -

Ah bless - I can tell you never used it...it IS large and cumbersome when folded, you need a big car, you need space in your house to keep it...but once you have used it you don't give a shpit!!!You need to avoid weekends and ideally go during working hours as then it's quieter. I hated it the first time I went but once you know to avoid the busy times and you get to know the short cuts it's much better. We sometimes take Alice there just for fun - she loves playing in the play area, all the "rooms" and the children's section and then the food in the restaurant is nice and decently priced (and you can get free hot drinks with the IKEA family card).
It was MANIC in Ikea today - Krystal and I had to poke people in the eyes to get a seat in the restaurant :eek:OH & I have just had the same conversation. If we lose the DLA, we lose the big car. And as if by magic to demonstrate my point!!!
I have a Honda Civic and it fits in my boot fine...in fact, if I could have been arrissed to pack em in properly the civic would have fitted the Stokke and the Oyster in at the same time
It fits in hubby's Merc too...but I guess that is too fancy pants!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
I love Ikea for a trip out too
SO, you know that bar at the bottom of the IE screen that shows your "zoom level" and displays the destination address when you hover over a link? Well, mine has diappeared (possibly baby related) and I don;t know how to get it back, any ideas?0 -
Bruno, do you have bread, water and internet connection when you hide?
. Really glad it is going so well and I bet DW can't wait for her Dad to arrive.
Gill, I have only seen the cakes in fruit. We had the M&S ones as our wedding cake and I know Tesco do them in fruit too. Can some lovely person make one for you?
Fabulour news, Bexta! :j
3, hope it all gets sorted soon. Obviously a clerical error somewhere!!
And now I really REALLY feel like the trio of cakes from Ikea restaurant!:drool:

My lovely friend who made my wedding cake can't make it to the christening as she has a prior engagement
I think what I'm going to do (altho I feel a bit tight!!) is buy a really cute cake that I saw in Asda today which had a giraffe on it and then some baby graphics, like a bottle, carved into the icing for £6.99 and get some personalised ribbon to go around the base.
If I can't get that one then there was a cute winnie the pooh cake as well.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
