Does anyone know where I can get a plain white iced, round sponge cake? I've seen rectangle ones (photocakes) but all the round ones seem to be fruit.

Stupid IKEA cat competition - it only gives a choice of 19 cats on the thing I tried and none of them are right. I expected to have a choice of all hundred of them.

Hi all

I am and have been around, but work has been fairly intense coupled with knackered, spavined and pain-filled OH leaving me not a lot of online time; I have been mostly catching up by the end of the evenings but then choosing bed over posting

I am sad to hear of assorted people's bad days - hugs for 3 and MFD for a start. Nice to hear from stranger Sparkle, and AF sleep improvements are so exciting aren't they

On which note, yes I am still hiding :undecided at bedtimes. This technique has proved massively effective, with 4 out of the last 5 nights being instant-sleep, and the other needing 2 (mama) re-settles. Then night times have been pretty good too, though there have been a couple of times comforting was needed.
So the good thing obviously is that we are getting more sleep in

However yes - FIL arrives tomorrow (and his friend a few days later) to stay. Tonight/tomorrow finishing housecleaning activities... stupid Homebase have so far failed to deliver new futon (and new bed) but at least have an air mattress for tomorrow. He will be very good and invaluable support for OH so I must not begrudge my lost privacy and peace it will be fine.

Have just finished a 3-day meeting of 18 people... which due to bad planning and lack of seniority and such, was in a 10-man room :eek: in a basement! I am quite drained by the experience. We took the team roles (Belbin) personality test stuff today, it seems I am a Shaper, Co-ordinator and Resource Investigator. I am a little sad because I think 5 years ago I was a Plant, but no longer! All very random and non-relevant to actually doing work.

OH email to me today while I was in work -
There is HUGE BEE in kitchen, is wasp, is scary, I have sprayed once with dettol and fled shrieking, Elijah following me going "Mama SICK, Mama spider? Mama not feeling so well! Bzzz!! Buzzy bee!"

Susan - I don't know if you realise but there's only 4 prizes to be won each day, and it's the first 4 people to get the right combination in a day who win, and a day starts at midnight so I would expect there to be no prizes left by now

I know - I figured if I found a winning combination I could do it at one minute past midnight.

All your lovely vibes for OH worked. He doesn't have angina, and his cholesterol is apparently so good the nurse wanted to know what he was doing! He does have to go for another test as it may be related to a previous health problem, but it's looking ok.

Buttons, Keira does look a lot like Suri Cruise.

Slightly jealous of all this Ikea talk, OH hates it with a vengeance, so we only go once a year. Used up this years getting furniture for madam.
