Gill, that's an awful situation for both of you. I hope it's something that can be resolved (hopefully by nasty man falling off edge of the earth)

SS, Molly is very cute and clever!

Em, that mega sucks about no choccie :(

:jCAFC for your new pram, but  at gun toting baby Landen!

Becles *hugs*. You haven't let yourself down at all, but it sounds like you have a lot on at the moment.

I haven't got a single person who could be entrusted with madam for more than maybe 30min, even if she wasn't BF. My mum, who I would trust totally is overseas, OH mum too old and blind, and even OH doesn't want his sisters to have her for any length of time.

We get along with 2 of them, but their parenting styles are really less than good. Today, his sister and neice were trying to tell me Sophie wasn't hungry, she was being a drama queen, and wouldn't have it I knew the difference :mad::mad:

  • kindof, my mil is exactly the same, i'll take jack round complete with outfit for the morning, obviously there is something seriously wrong with my choice in clothes as she will always magic some other outfit from somewhere, i actually think she's been to tescos at like 2am to buy him something 'more suitable', drives me up the wall, but i just smile and say thanks as its easier and if i giver her that she might let me have my own way on something else.

hugs to becles and gill and anyone else who just wants one :grouphug:

i think dd has conjunctivitis, her left eye is all gunky and she couldn't open it earlier when she woke up:(

becky are you breastfeeding? Breastmilk is supposed to help sticky eyes. C never really had a problem with sticky eyes so have never tried it myself.

Have had a glass of wine and it's gone straight to my head! DH on call and is in Barnsley so watching telly and on here while it's nice and quiet!
    Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked :)
  • Bexta - that's sounds like it. My DD had it lots as a baby, still gets it now if the wind blows the wrong way! Warm water, new cotton wall ball for each wipe, wet or dry and do both eyes.

Go and see either your GP or Chemist tomorrow, I found the drops the easiest to administer.

Hugs to everyone, I've read back but can't remember much.

Thank you for all your comments re DH though. Plans for weekend were, swimming then clothes and shoe shopping now it's swimming, collecting offending brake discs and shoe shopping. This involves driving from home to J16 M6 to Sheffield back home!

Fortunately not completely desperate for clothes - yet!

Rapid return worked for us once Katie was in a bed, for me anyway, it's 2 stories then I go leaving her looking at the books.

off to put the coffee on....................

sorry all, i didnt mean any offence by my comments, and i hope noone took it the wrong way (esp' Kindof )....

I think its just because i know what my 'rents are like, they have to be significantly restrained.... take for example my dad has bought Landen a gun... yes thats right a gun to go shooting with... admittedly clay things and not hoodie wearing asbo teenagers... but firstly we dont live in the country and socialise with the gentry... secondly.... he's 3 months old... and thirdly its a piggin' gun for crying out loud....!!!

Hence why everything is a battle to be won with my lot.......

but what i really mean is sorry if i upset anyone with my turn of phrase...... just had a bit of a tizz with DH and was writing too quickly to read how it might have come across.... anyway.... sorry big hugs and love you all lots.... xx
:rotfl:see I think that is really sweet! My dad is absolutely desperate to get Chris his own gun but has managed to hold back - although I think if money were less of an issue he'd have already got him one!
Sad thing is Chris atm is showing zero interest in shooting - my poor Daddy:p
Maybe he'll have more success with Edgar, he's totally in love with my dad, he's the only person he will settle with when upset besides me and always runs straight to him

    I love my little family
  • I feel like this :j after a much better night with only one wake up at 4am and both my boys are still in bed now.

It is so chilly here this morning. I'm wrapped up all toasty but can't be bothered to go outside and walk to work. I'd much rather spend the day with my boys.
