  • We're probably on the most wanted watch list now for talking about guns!:rotfl:;)

I would have a real issue with it being veggie and all but luckily its something I don't have to worry about :).

Just dropped Poppy off at nursery so its just me and Jamie Jack this morning. How flippin cold is it?! My heating is most definately on!

Gill & Becles, hope you are both ok this morning *hugs*

:( Alice has her first sickness bug. The temperature she had on Wednesday went but then has come and gone and she hasn't really been eating much and then on Saturday night she woke up and cried and said her tummy was hurting and then was sick. She's seemd a little bit better since then but still hasn't eaten a lot and is still asleep now.

I can't say I would be too keen either but guns are only dangerous if either the person using it doesn't know what they are doing or if the person using it is a malicious person.

Yeah that's true, but i really don't want e shooting poor little bunnies, although oh said he only used to shoot the ones that had mixi

Hugs Susan, there def is something going round, e is currently being sick after 90% of his bottles

  • Hope Elliot & Alice feel better soon (and all other poorly babies and mummies).

PS: KOAG, Quinny is the pram CAFC won on eBay :)

    xx
  • Poor Alice, although she's done well to go this long before catching her first... Both of mine were still in their cots when they had their first sick bugs! Hope she feels better today :)

Our heating was on the other day when it dropped cold, but off for a few days because it warmed up... I noticed it was a bit chilly when we went to bed last night but toasty warm when I got up this morning because D must have turned the thermostat up when he got up... I will put the timer once it gets constantly chilly so that it pops on in the morning and evening... I'm hoping having new less draughty windows might make it a bit more efficient this year...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I guess they're probably easier to get anyway.

But if he shot healthy rabbits you could eat them.

It's quite good that she's old enough to understand about it so she wasn't upset about being sick. I'm amazed she's managed to get away with not having one this long as we have friends who seem to have them multiple times a year and the children give each other hugs and sloppy kisses all the time.

She's currently narrating some story for the rabbits on her breakfast mug instead of eating but she's eaten 3/4 of her porridge which is about as much as she's had per day the last few days.

Oh, I keep meaning to ask - what is the heating situation in hour houses at this stage?!

It's not been on yet here, probably because i'd have to go upstairs to switch it on and i'm too idle! :rotfl: The fleecey throws on the sofa have been used a lot lately.

I'm guessing you use a cotton pad to apply though, not just squirt your booby at her :rotfl:

I squirted straight from the booby when V was tiny. :o

Susan I hope Alice is starting to feel better! She's done well getting to this age with no sickness bugs, she must have some good strong natural immunity.

Hugs Becles. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Hugs for other poorly babies and Mummys. Beenie have you been to the Dr's yet?

OH is a member of a gun club, but hasn't been for months. And they only shoot bits of paper & clay. I think i'd dislike it more if they shot live things. And it was a bit worrying that they made on of his friends a key holder of the club, the most mentally unstable friend they could have picked.:rotfl:

    Who is quinny?

I have the gun issues to worry about as well but my issue is with OH he had a gun from age 13 and used to shoot rabbits till he met me, i didn't like him doing it so never did it when he was with me, then we spent every weekend together when we met so he ended up selling the gun (to a gun shop) but he has already said he wants to take e shooting when he is older, and i really don't want him too :(

Hugs gill I really hope your friend is ok, am worried for the baby too

Ladybird, the heating is on in my house at the minute, but i live way up north and it currently freezing here

Wel I still have a baby full of snot and now a cough :( gonna ring e music class woman today, cos i am not taking him, i hope he gets better soon, he's had this fir ages

I understand it's a common hang up that people have ( the fluffy bunny bit) but rabbits are pests to farmers, if they can't get someone to shoot the rabbits then they poison or trap them meaning they probably die in pain, shooting is very humane as it is instant and when done well the rabbits don't even know they're being hunted so arent even dying in fear.
As Susan says too you can eat healthy ones, they are tasty and much better for you than for something most of us probably see as staple food - supermarket "standard" chicken.

Obviously I am saying this as someone who was brought up eating meat and fish my dad had hunted/caught so it's normal for me, I didn't even realise other people didn't do it until I was about 7yo :)

    Off to playgroup

Oh ps. Heating has been on sporadically here for a few weeks :o our 100+ yo house is rather draughty and we are a mid terrace with both sides empty so we seem to loose a lot of heat to next door :(
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
