3, the thing about buying the scuttlebug from argos is that they dont do them instore, only online, and their delivery charges are extortionate. Amazon sell them at the same price as Argos with free delivery
I'm going to get the monster one for his birthday as the weather is likely to be a little better (or at least thinking about getting better!) in March than in December, so will keep an eye out in the sales!Mummy to

Also sometimes people use different approaches with the same child depending on the circumstances. If I think there is a reason for Alice waking up or not settling, I try to work out what it is and solve it but if I'm sure she's just making a fuss then I'm firm with her.
Oooh I was coming back to say a similar thing....also wanted to add that circumstance should also dictate how you deal with certain situations...ie, you work full-time, in a stressful job iirc? and therefore bedtimes and sleeping issues should be dealt with firmly. If you were a sahd or maybe worked part time and could 'lie-in' every day, you wouldn't have the need to have a sleeping child, or at least, it would perhaps be more tolerable!
I say I am strict at bedtimes, throughout the day I am a big softy....but only if I am not tired. If I am tired I am a right grump, and so are the kids....it makes for a VERY unhappy household which is why we decided pretty quickly that bedtimes were non-negotiable...the older two know there is no talking once I switch the light off and kiss them goodnight, but that has only come about with years of 'training'
At their age(and younger), my older brother and I were a right handful at bedtime...we would keep sneaking downstairs, we would be jumping all over the beds, playing hido in the dark etc.... but my mum didn't care, so I suppose that is fine....
Anyway, have ds2's friend over they are having lunch at the moment then I bet their next move will be straight up to the consoles:cool:

My Argos has them in store, but only in red.
They only had yellow in Costco, and V had a little go on the display one - and screamed when we took her off.
Dt1 I suppose it's best if they're not in the same house, then she can't accuse him of anything.:beer:0 -

Of course I know that you are scottish...but I read everyone's posts in my accent so in my head you all sound like me!!
Well, except those who I have met and I know don't talk like me
LOL, Yeah accents are weird. In my mind I'm not as heavily accented as I speak.
I had a look and the scramble bug I got, although it is in the 3for2 at Argos, is £34.99 so I think I've saved money. There wasn't anything else I wanted.0 -
dt1 - is there a chance that maybe SHE'S the one being abusive? (if not physically, then emotionally/mentally) Does she call him names or deliberately start screaming arguments at him? Just something to watch out for - men can be abused too and often suffer in silence. Even if she's not doing anything "too" bad now, it may escalate. DH's ex used to accuse him of all sorts of horrible things, but in reality she was actually the abuser. *hugs* all the same, can't be easy for a mum to deal with.
CAFC, I requested to join the FB group - my initials are MB.
Just been to Peacocks, where I blame Gill for coming out of there £36 lighter, but really got absolutely loads of stuff we all needed. :T :T Unfortunately, their trousers fit like crap so I still need a few pairs to go back to work with.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Daisy has just fallen asleep after being awake for HOURS!:D Hoping her being awake more during the day will mean more sleep at night... although she's not tooo bad. We're still learning the best routine to get into at the moment BUT DH goes back to work next week and has to get up at 5am so we need to start thinking about that.
Hugs for those who are having difficulties:A
And I think we may have a little troublemaker on our hands... put her on playmat and she somehow managed to end up half way off the playmat!!!:eek:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Squeak rolls on to her side  woke up the other day because she was grumbling because she had managed to get her feet through the side bars of the cot, and it's a cot bed! she had turned 90 degrees :eek:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

While I remember, I have a question to ask of you knowledgeable lot.....Where can I get pics done to go in my locket? I have looked quickly online but they seem to charge quite a lot of money to shrink the pics and get them the correct size!!!
