Just a quick one - i'm trying to do christmas shopping at Argos.
Was somebody looking for wooden alphabet letters yesterday? I can't remember who it was, or if LO was a girl or boy. Argos have these...http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3941805/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CToys+and+games%7C14417629/c_2/3%7C14417629%7CPre-school+toys%7C14417737/c_3/4%7Ccat_14417737%7CCharacter+toys+and+playsets%7C14417740.htm:beer:0 -

yes - I'm currently resisting buying a lovely little white company bed set :rotfl: we are awful!
MFD - we had to go to the lowest setting in teh cot pretty quickly. She's not worked out that she could get out of it yet, and we do still use a sleeping bag for her, although she can take it off when she is that way inclined. last week I found her in teh cot starkers - she's taken off her sleeping bag, pj's and nappy. I still don't know how she got her vest off - I think DH had forgotten to do up the poppers!!!! :rotfl: She was very pleased with herself.
right - new bedroom will probably involve the cot :rotfl:Dribblekitten wrote: »Hi everyone. Have finally got chance to post as small girl at nursery. Have just been sorting out her room and reassembling moses basket etc for new baby - due 2 weeks tomorrow! Have also counted my nappy stockpile, about 800 in sizes1, 2, 3 and 4+ (4+ are for H) am running out of space now.
For those that remember I was stressing about H's lack of speech - she has 3 new words in the last week, ball, eye and miaow. God knows where she got miaow from as we seem to see and speakto her much more about dogs but I'll take it! Her understanding is quite amazing though and I'm slowly training her to help me with jobs - current favourite is moving the damp washing from the washing machine to the tumble drier!
Also, have held small babies recently and she hasn't tried to rip them off me so progress is being made, albeit slowly!
Hugs for those feeling down or with useless OHs. Mine has been great today, got up with H and took her to nursery even though he's working, and is taking me to lunch as it'll be a while until we do it again! I am very lucky to have him.
Phew long post - sorry for that!
DK hello  and congratulations - I didn't realise number 2 was on the way. thats fab news. best of luck.

Nothing. (Well sometimes she wore a babygrow but not specifically for the benefit of her feet.) Indoors she never had cold feet (I checked a million times) so I didn't see any point in faffing about with socks when IME most small children just remove them anyway. Outdoors, she was in the sling so her feet were covered by the sling and if it was cold my coat too. When she started walking it was warm enough for sandals so it was only when she got shoes in the September that she really needed socks.Susan, what did you put on Alice's feet? It's more of a game with the socks at the moment, with how quickly she can slide them off. The look of satisfaction on her face is really funny.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

We only moved Alice out of the cot because she was able to climb out of it while wearing a sleeping bag.I hasn't realised poppy was still 'behind bars'. Perhaps this means I shouldn't think about beds for a long time yet.....Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I always thought Alice would fall out of a bed because she always slept right up against the bars (and generally at a ninety degree angle to the way you would expect someone to sleep in a cot) but it's been surprisingly rare for her to fall out. (I still think it's good idea to keep them in a cot as long as possible though.)My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »He kicks the cot bars in his sleep all the time so the longer I can stop him falling out of bed the better.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

yes - I remember reading in GF *shhhhhhhh* that baby sleeping bags stop children climbing out of their cot, walking around and keeps them warm as they can't 'kick' them off. However, Alice can climb out of the cot with hers on, V can take hers off, Annabel can walk around the house with herd on and takes it off when she choses.....should I write to GF and let her know?

A is the sam e- she sleeps right up against the side. Decision made - she'll be in the cot until she can get out! Now there's a challenge for her

Am dying

Okay everyone - thats me off. I'm feeling a little guilty about leaving LO, but she'll be with wonderful grandparents who will spoil her rotten and she'll have a ball. And DH and I do deserve a break so I'm going to try not to think about it in guilt/negative terms

I'm going to change in a phonebox at the airport and turn from yummy mummy to glamourous wife
Actually, s0d the wife bit. I'll turn into something that doesn't define me by my relationship with others
Glamourous girly sounds way better to me
Have fun and see you when I geet back (If I do come back......)
