Caz, if you're about, when did your fairies fly? They've not made it here yet
Aless, it would be inappropriate not to test your jam
CAFC, I doubt L will mind girly tights, the blue ones were striped with a dog on the butt though :rotfl:
I've just finished the draft of my last-but-one work project. I'm going to hold onto it till the end of the day and then email it over though so it looks like I'm busy all day, and if I can do the last little chunk of book-work by Friday I'm all set for a very relaxed last monthOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I shan't suggest getting out there and 'meeting people', cos I want to punch people when they suggest that, as it's not that easy is it?
DH suggests that to me all the time. I tried baby group and i hated it so now we dont go.
I keep being ignored as they have there own 'circle'.
Meh, i dont like people anyway
Going to ILs today, MIL had an op last Thursday, something to do with her womb. They have invited us for dinner so we are going to raid Lilys money box and buy her some flowers from Lily
Edit: I forgot to add, CAFC & Kindof, my little brother used to wear dark blue tights all the time. No one knew any different as they were underneath jogging bottoms0 -
SS, those tights sound cute.
CAFC, pretty much what I do. :j for testing new prams.
Susan, what did you put on Alice's feet? It's more of a game with the socks at the moment, with how quickly she can slide them off. The look of satisfaction on her face is really funny.
Bleurgh, madam was coughing, so I picked her up and she hurled all over me. At least she had the decency to do it before I put the washing on, normally she waits until i've just started a load.

ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Right, now I've settled down a bit, what I needed to ask about was the dreaded potty training. Izzy is getting really bad nappy rash at the mo, so it seems like a good time to bite the bullet and go for it. So as of Thursday (assuming I manage to buy her more pants in time) we are going to give it a try.
Other than leaving her with no bottoms on for the day (not sure if we will brave going out on Friday - might have to give it a miss for a week, and stay in?) and encouraging her to sit on the potty/saying well done if she goes in the potty and oops, next time try and get it in the potty, what should I be doing?! Oh, and should I put her back into a nappy at nap time?
good luck. I've read a little bit on the subject and we have a potty in the bathroom which Lo likes to sit on, but she can't tell when she's doing anything yet. She wee'd in the bath the other night and looked down all surprised and said 'rain' and pointed :rotfl: she knows when shes doing something else, but I know she's not ready yet so waiting a bit. I've read that pullups are a bit of a marketing ploy and can prolong the training part during the day and real pants ar the way forward. I also read that having a book to look at it helpful to keep them on the potty for a while, as is a stool if you plan to use the toilet, and a potty if they are young - like Izzy.
Otherthan that I would go for it before the weather turns, expect washing, just lashings of praise, and ignore any accidents, telling her that she'll get better the more she practices. So says supernanny jo frost
Oh and do please let me know how you go. I'd also be interested on your take on the moving to a bed scenario. Lo isn't interested in climbing out of the cot (yet - though she climbs everything else shes not meant to!) and we are moving her bedrooms around christmas new year time. I'm debating whether to leave the room change until after santa has been and do the move into a bed at the same time......................shes getting a proper single bed, not a toddler bed.kindofagilr wrote: »Thanks gisi
Anyone know where can get nice dungarees elliot's weight makes him pretty much too big for 6-9 month trousers, and even some 9-12 month ones we have are tight on his belly, but are far too long on the leg as well.
So i got thinking this morning that the might be more comfortable in dungarees, he does have some cotton pants which aren't as tight on his belly, but i am worried about him getting codlin the winter in those
my sister and I are obssessed with dungarees for our wee ones :rotfl: For boys, next have some nice red ones, Jo jo maman beeb do beautiful ones and although pricier, fab quality and a great ebay re-sell/buy. John lewis generally have a decent selection and I noticed debenhams had a couple of pairs when I was in last week. Also M&Co often have a fab boys selection for great prices. HTH
Been talking to Charlotte this morning. She asked if one day she would be a Mam and I said yes she might be. Then she asked if she was a Mam, would I still be a Mam. I said I'd always be her Mam, just like Granny will always be my Mam. She said she didn't know that so she must have thought Granny was just some random woman who turns up to look after herAnyway Charlotte has decided she's going to have seven baby boys and they are all going to be named after different fruits :rotfl:
Charlotte often makes my day - I'm looking forward to meeting her fruitbowl selectionr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Good mooning
asda had dungarees on their own when I was in there t'other day, I know next have them too.
Chris wore tights under his pants when we went skiing when he was 1yo
A random thought I had the other day. If anyone were to need packaging to send a pram/carseat after selling on ebay, do an approved foods order, mine was 4 medium boxes inside one huge box - bargain food and handy packaging :money:
Krystal you nutter, I'm sure you said you NEED a double because of your small monkey so what use would a stokke be? (or are you thinking baby in a sling, monkey in the stokke? in that case I retract my above statement
ETA - Ladybird I have the Gina Ford potty training in a week book somwhere if you want it? I didn't use it but did train Chris in a week0 -

He can take his own shirt off though
You can usually get dungaree sets at the supermarkets (it is where I do all my baby shopping)
that remins me - sainsburys has lovely boys dungarees when I was alst in a few weeks ago.I never put socks on Alice until she was seventeen months.
Annabel hardly ever wears socks - in winter she lives in tights and its only now she wear trousers a little more that she wears socks.r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
oh and whoever was asking about jumperoos. A courier would be way cheaper than the royal mail for sending - plus many of them collect from your house - much easier that carting it to the post office
have a look on teh ebay thread for companies.

Morning.
I have 12 toys reserved at Argos to take full advantage of the 3 for 2 toy offer. I will be off there at lunch, god knows how long I will be.
After these most of my Christmas shopping will be done and it will be just our parents and my best mate I will have to rack my brains over. And and OH, nearly forgot about him
Also I was in Home and Bargains yesterday. Some of the items I remember are Girls Vtech laptop £14.99. Chicco 4 in one ride on £39.99
And various Leap frog musical instruments, like this and this £7.99
Glad you are having a better day CAFC, enjoy the buggy testing.0
