I got a new hoover last week, its one of the vax one where u can clean the carpet too, well ive just cleaned downstairs now, am quite impressed! the colour of the water i had to empty afterwards was a bit:o oh and to give u a giggle, as i was emptying the first lot i carried it through to the kitchen and as my feet were wet i went flying and so did the big tub of dirty water :o all over the walls, cooker everywhere lol, oh well it needed a lick of paint anyway:rotfl:

Sorry but that made me giggle :o Craig asked what I was laughing at and I told him and he said to look on the bright side - at least you didn't throw it all over the nice clean carpet :D

Visitors after birth: When I had Josh, they said I had to stay in hospital for three days, but then changed their minds and asked if I could go home on the second day as they needed the bed. My Grandparents were coming in to visit that afternoon, so my Mam phoned them and said not to bother as I was going home.

Ex was working, so Mam collected me from hospital and all the way home I kept saying I was longing for a shower as the one on the post-natal ward was absolutely filthy. Just got Josh settled and was on my way up the stairs when my Grandparents arrived, so I had to sit and chat to them feeling like a right minger :o

Said when James and Charlotte were born, I didn't want any visitors until I said it was ok to visit :o

Today's Charlotte-ism: Noticed the boys rooms were messy today, so they were both told when they came in from school that they had to tidy them before they did anything else. Charlotte said "I'm going to tidy my room too", got half way up the stairs then said "actually no, I really can't be arsed":rotfl:

Spent the evening helping the boys to back books. They got a Sunderland junior supporters magazine delivered recently and used posters from that.

Did anyone else back books and what did you back them with? Mine were a mix of footballers and boy band posters.
Here I go again on my own....

Lol at charlotte, its the kind of thing jake lets slip out, today he was asking for something cant remember what now, anyway i said no, it tough (as in tough luck u aint having it) and he said "yep, tough titties":eek::o he must have heard me say it at some point:o

I used to back my school books in wrapping paper normally, but my mum used to make me use brown paper and i used to get annoyed with her cos i wanted to use the sparkly wrapping paper lol!

We were staying with MIL after I got home with Ds1 (2 weeks after I had him) so didn't do much.

Can't remember after DS2, I do remember all the visitors at hospital. MIL came to see the baby while I was still in a coma and took pics (I wasn't happy when I found out, but you know that I rant about it a lot), and folk visiting me while he was still in NICU/SCBU and I just fell asleep on them.

With Amber, I said no visits the day I had her, so DH's family took the huff and didn't visit at all (his aunt and uncle did though). When we got home DH took care of the tea etc but by that time they knew I'd just tell them to gtf when I'd had enough :D

charlotte makes me laugh so much.

We used to back our books with recycled wrapping paper - until I got older and wanted to cover them in doodles from which point I used brown paper :D

My books were backed in Duran Duran, Spandau, Wham, Madonna or The Cure posters, probably from Smash Hits!, depending on my mood at the time. :o

Cover the exercise books with posters, wrapping paper etc. In our school if you didn't do it, you were sent to the head of year and made to cover your books with some vile blown vinyl wallpaper :rotfl:
