Those play kitchens and food are so cute! I always wanted that Fisher Price one when I was a kid (what was it called?), but never got it. I'm sure T and Molly will love them.

Some kids would be fine with the small things from a younger age than others. My sister was a horror for putting everything but food in her mouth as a kid - think soap, holly berries, sponges etc, but me and my brother were fine.

Currently have a snoozing baby. Poor thing got herself so worked up last night with being overtired and windy that she screamed for nearly an hour, to the point where she was nearly sick
It was heartbreaking, cos normally she rarely cries, and farts like a good 'un.

  • Morning! A return to better sleep here last night, which I am grateful for since I have work 1-9.

Enjoy your baking day, Aless. I made scones, banana muffins and jam yesterday. Henry and I did more blackberrying yesterday so I now have two batches of bramble jelly and just need to crack on with the chutney tomorrow when I am off again.

Lovely pic, Becles. Your boys look very grown up and I'm sure James will love big school. I bet you and Charlotte will both miss having them around.

Som- I have the Ikea vegetables set in the cupboard for Henry and he will be getting them for Christmas when he will be 14 months. I had a look at them in Ikea and couldn't really see a problem with them.

  • Ooh, would someone like to give me their referral link to the bingo thingy? I could do with some Amazon vouchers.....

you must mean A La Carte kitchen Bexta :D It was on my list every year but I never got it :( We wrote letters to santa one year and my teacher didn't know what I was on about so my letter asked for an Alicard Kitchen :rotfl: No wonder Santa didn't bring it really!

The daft thing is I did tell her that in my phone message roughly. Well be out about 6 hours tomorrow so god knows what will happen if the basin overflows!
If it's that bad, I would have thought it would be classed as an emergency which means you can have it done yourselves and then bill her for it afterwards. I forget the exact details of the procedure (I used to have a leaflet from the CAB) but if they don't reimburse you within a certain amount of time then you are entitled (after giving notice you will do it) to deduct the amount owed from the rent you pay.

    Here :) good luck!

Gill, I used to call it an At A Cart kitchen and I too really, really wanted one. My mother keeps on talking about how much I wanted one and it was on my list year after year. She never explained why she didn't get one though :(

Gorgeous pic Becles. I bet Charlotte will miss having them around today.

No children for me today so I plan to make a start on my eBay mountain.

Is it Sami's Christophers first day at nursery today too? Good luck Christopher, I'm sure he'll have lots of fun.

However she is having trouble breathing this evening :/ she gets occasional slight asthma, sometimes some quality of the house or the bedroom triggers it (you'd think, dust, but it's sometimes bad when we've just cleaned, other times she's fine even though the dust is at its worst).
It could be the cleaning chemicals that trigger it or it could be that when you've cleaned, all the dust has been stirred up so there is more in the air rather than just lying around on surfaces. If you think it is dust then frequent vacuuming and damp dusting may help.

Gill, that's the one! I was so jealous of the girl in the ad baking her little cake and cooking her beans, although I doubt very much it actually could do that.

Oooh, just realised me and OH have been together 4 years. Better find something nice for tea to celebrate.

Edit - did Santa ever actually deliver any of those kitchens then?

My present that got away was Mr Frosty! There is even a FB page for disgruntled children :rotfl:. Oh and Mousetrap :(.

ETA: Jamie and I were playing with the kitchen in Ikea yesterday. We cooked what looked like a steak. Didn't see those actual food sets or I might have been tempted!

Hope your boys have a fab day, Becles. Lovely pic :)

    xx
