  • As a first timer looking for a good cruise deal i've found there is a real lack of quality info out there. I'm currently on the fence trying to decide if we should play it safe and go land or find out what all the cruise fuss is about.

So i for one would welcome your posts. I've already found your advice really helpful.

    Keep 'em coming .. Mr W !
  • I think you are doing a sterling job mrweetabix and can appreciate a lot of time goes into your searches. Unfortunately cruises are not my thing but I'm sure others find your deals helpful. Now for your next venture "Bargain deals in the Med" would appeal to me!

I'd say keep posting but in a single thread. The first post could contain contact details for the travel agents (including the additional ones mentioned above). Then add a new post in the thread for every new deal you find. That way those that are interested can subscribe to the thread and be alerted to new deals rather than trawling through teletext and various websites.

Why not have a single cruise deals thread and this will keep all the deals in one place and make it easy for a newcomer to see all that have been available.

Works well on holidaytruths this way.

A sticky thread for the links to cruise lines and agents (needs an update)

fantastic idea.......I would welcome a cruise thread as prices can vary greatly on different sites.....

once you go cruising you'll never go back to a regular holiday ( thats just my opinion of course ) !!!!!!!!
  • Evening Everyone.

Thanks for your feedback looks like MrW will be rolling for a while.

Some excellent ideas which i will build oon in the forthcoming weeks.

Please continue to post mrweetabix. I for one would love a cruise deal thread.

As for the link to holidaytruths.co.uk the last offer on that page was posted on the 11th July 2010. I have followed the holidaytruths posts for a while but just lately it's not been updated.

I would say carry on. Although I've never been on a cruise I have been reading your posts and, you never know, if I saw one that fitted in with my timetable then I may just be tempted. I do like the idea of a single cruise thread sticky.

Do you search for deals yourself and post?

Holidaytruths has a few regulars with deals and the school holidays is a dry period for real deals anyway. I think the holiday companies like to avoid showing thsoe that have to pay top prices the low ones.

I'd think you'd be made more welcome on Cruise Critic, tbh,

I don't like to see the forum filled up with random deals that aren't all that spectacular. When I say "filled up" 8 of the posts on the first page of this forum are yours.

So I'm a "no" this place is for advice, not for advertising.:D
