I have been reading Lame Wolf's troubles with her two Westie friends and it does sound like they have been spoiled  They are incredibly inquisitive in nature and so that needs to be channelled - hope they are behaving themselves now x
Ah yes, you have Westies, don't you?:o They weren't too bad last night, only wee'd on the kitchen floor once, as opposed to 3 times the night before (this despite being let out and weeing just before going to bed:mad:); and we left them briefly today as we had to go into town to bank a cheque and collect Mr LW's new specs - they had 1/2 a Dentastick each, and were fine when we got back, 1/2 an hour or so later.

I hope they'll be OK Tuesday pm, when I have a hossy appointment, as they'll have to be on their own for a couple of hours. *crosses fingers*

Anyways, Molly I'm pleased you had a good break. I've never been to Centreparcs; tbh, I prefer to avoid anywhere there are likely to be children.;)
Going to town today with MIL, they have that fishforfeet there 10 for 20mins, my DD1 said 20mins wouldnt be long enough for my feet  the cheek of it :rotfl:.
I read something about that in the Telegraph some time ago, and it sounds like just what Mr LW and I could do with. I think I could possibly cope with it, too; I couldn't cope with having a human muckin' about with my feet, but fishes would be fine. Yeah, OK I'm weird, I admit it.:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Hello all!

2 loads of washing done & dh hung them out!
Took the kids to get pe trainers today. Also got ds1 a pair of trainers for knocking about in. Am £50 lighter from that.
I got the cat a new collor with a bell & a pack with 3 other bells in it. I need to somehow stop her from catching birds. Or she'll get put in a bin ;) I don't know how she catches them. I've spoken to 2 vets & both said some cats are worse for it than others.

DH has taken the older 2 children to some local cricket.

DD has a disco tonight. She wants me to straighten her hair & put make up on her. She's so excited! It's late though. 1930-2200. And school starts again on Monday. She'll be exhausted. She's starting year 6 as well I don't know where the time has gone.

Have a stew bubbling away on the hob for dh, dd & the baby. DS1, fuss @rse will have beans on toast & I'll find summit.

I took the kids for McDonalds when we were out. I had some. Tasteless but so yummy! :rotfl:

    (((hugs))) for those in need

Have a good rest of the day

    Afternoon all,

Have been to doctor because slept very little with shoulder/arm last night...fine if I didn't move but when you are asleep you can't control movement can you? He says that it is a bad case of frozen shoulder, am on steroids for a week, pain still the same after one dose, hopefully will be able to sleep to-night after second dose, am taking a day off to-day to give arm a rest...so bored doing nothing!

Rain, thunder and lightning while we were out, has cleared now but is cold....have turned on heat....will turn off later as OH won't notice once house is warm. Bought lock for gate into part of back yard that DS3's boat is in as apparently there has been a spate of burglaries around...must check what type of insurance he has on boat, not sure if it covers it here, even though it is out of sight...none of us could afford to replace it if anything happened to it.

Dinner to-day is left over ham, cabbage and bacon from yesterday, so no work involved beyond plating ready for zapping whenever. Didn't touch cakes yesterday so no pudding needed either, I should really have an apple or the like as doc was amazed that my blood pressure was normal in spite of my 'extra weight'.

Mrs MH...think that I will have to try bells or some such with cats, they constantly bring me dead shrews and I get so mad with them, even if they are love tokens, killing to eat I would consider normal for cats but killing to give to me I cant handle. The birds seem smart enough to stay high in the trees although we did get some when there were immature birds around.

Hugs to all and hope that you have a good weekend.

    Hi everyone,

Meanmarie, poor you, I've heard frozen shoulder is extremely painful.

I've been restricted for the last couple of weeks with lower back pain and sciatica. I've been doing half days at work and not a lot at home. I'm now at the stage where it is depressing me so I'm trying not to let it get me down. On the plus side it's put me off my food so I've not been putting on weight through being sedentary. In fact I've now lost a stone, even though it's taken me nearly three months I've not been starving myself and have been swimmimg and rowing (machine) until my back flared up.

OS wise today I'm trying to sort out my loose recipes and stick them into a book. I also want to make a big batch of chilli so that I can send a care package to DS and GF. She's studying for accountancy exams and he's working very long hours since his promotion so I like to help them out a bit.

DD is away for the weekend. I think we've only seen her for about 10 days in total since she came home from her six months in the pacific basin in early June. If you've read the book or seen the film Yes Man she is the female equivalent, she never turns down an invitation or chance to do something.

Taplady, congrats to your sons - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for DS1.

    Hugs to everyone in need.

    Af'noon all

Glad you enjoyed centreparcs Molly - hoping to go myself early in the new year....they get MS'd you know ;)

Just when I thought I could eek things out til I get money next week bl00dy v!rgin take out £81 for a DD that is set up to start next effin month. Strong words were said this morning and I have to ring the bank back on monday and they will recall it - I was soooo mad!! but you know how it is with these things - it takes seconds to get taken out of your account and days to go back in!

So the meal plan this week has been designed so that I will only need to buy fresh stuff for the pack ups and potaotes to go with dinners. I have two MS jobs tomorrow where I have to spend £10 in each food hall so if I shop wisely should be able to get what I need in.

JackieG - im with you on the fishfeet thing ewwww

Hester - how civilised of your DH to bring you a cup of tea first! I get prodded with whatever happens to be handy....:rotfl::D

    Afternoon everyone! *joins Stationary Anonymous*

Well I've hoovered, made a batch of dahl and stuck it in the freezer (and slightly burnt myself in the process, boo), and my new shoes arrived which was a nice surprise as I didn't think they would get here until next week. They fit well too so yay for that. Need to go and get the grocery shopping in a bit, but I'm waiting a little while to go and do that so I can pick up my dinner as I pass the chippy on the way back. Don't really want to be going back on myself and out again.

Fishfeet feel quite nice in a weird sort of way :D. You do notice a bit of a difference even just after the half hour I had too.

Edited to add that Australian Come Dine With Me is nowhere near as good as British.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who loves stationary! :rotfl: I didn't end up buying any co sthere were too many kids looking for back to school stuff. My uni course doesn't start properly for 2 weeks so I can look next week when they are all back in school.

I had a nice day with my friends, we had lunch and window shop. Didn't buy anything, it was just nice to be relaxed and not worrying about stuff. Then I went to my parents to pick up my mail (I really should change my address now!!) and some runner beans.

I'm a tad annoyed at minute cos my aunt and cousin were meant to come get the hamster between 5 and 6 but still haven't showed . Whilst I don't think I'm going out now (not heard form flaky friend *insert rolly eye smiley*) I want to make tea and chill out but can't do that as I know they will turn up when I sit down!

    Have a good evening all
