Morning Everyone!
Been weeks since I've posted on here, although I have read a lot!
Had loads of probs with my Dad. He is in hospital again, and now we are going to have to get him a nursing home.:( He can't look after himself anymore, and even if I was well, I don't think I could do it either.
I've found out he's thousands of pounds in debt too, the bank keep giving him a bigger overdraft, and he's got credit cards galore. He was spending like a millionaire,(mainly on booze) and it's got out of hand, so I have got that to sort out too:( He has some form of dementia now, and is so thin (he wasn't eating). Still maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel soon.
On a brighter note my grandaughter is still gorgeous! She weighs 12lb 7oz and is 5 months old now. She imiles all the time, and is a really good baby. Sleeps for 12 hours too! DD is amazed, but she was the same as a baby.:T

Morning all...................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Oooooooooopppppppppppppssssssssss just realised its afternoon, sorry.
Usual Saturday lie in till 9.30. Had put a load of whites in the washer overnight so they were ready to put out on the line. Stripped the bed and thats on the line too along with 3 of my hammocks, or scaffolding which ever you like, both are applicable.
OH in the veg garden, picked a load of beans and pulled carrots for supper, liver and sausage tonight......will have a root in the freezer for some fruit for a crumble.
Its a glorious day here today, a nice breeze so not too hot. Still too many biting insects around to eat in the garden, shame, the weather is due to change tomorrow. Waiting with bated breath for Wilkinsons to open in Livingston, its still quite a long trip but not as bad as having to go to Motherwell, about half the distance, apparetnly it opens Tuesday, might get over there Thursday. We are hoping to go to Newhailes House on Tuesday using out NTS membership.
Next weekend is the 'Open doors' weekend in our area, I think we will go to Amisfield Walled Garden. Its not too far from us here, just about 15 minutes, we have to book a garden tour, so OH will ring on Monday.
Soaked a gammon joint overnight and cooked it this morning. I'll make soup wuth the stock and cut the meat on the slicer, thick slices for tomorrow and thineer ones with salad MOnday, the rest can go in the freezer either for having with a salad or in sarnies. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi all
BB, I'm green with envy, I've always fancied having my feet 'fished'.

OMG I had to google that  are you two out of your minds???? That sounds like my worst idea of hell *shivers and trots off to have a freak out in the bathroom*It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Afternoon All,
Another lovely day here so will maybe get out in the garden for a bit, I too had an early morning wake up same as Hester lol. DP is very energetic today and has hoovered and mopped all thrrough the house, walked the dogs, been to the shop and cooked brunch!!! I have done two loads of washing and sat with my feet up just watching him whirl around like a dervish
BB I too am jealous please tell us how it was. Right must go DS has just texted begging me to put a bath on for him and make sausage n egg baps. He was out camping last night for a friends birthday and I have a suspicion alcohol may have been involved  we will be having words later
Best wishes to all, have a lovely weekend.

Afternoon All
Popped down to Poundland this morning to pick up some kitchen roll and ended up with 2 boxes of after 8's, 2 boxes of maltesers and 2 boxes of walnut whips plus 2 DVD's that will do for Christmas Pressies and yes the sweeties have been put away for Christmas too so I am cracking on and at this rate I should be ready by November
Bit naughty this month cos we are a bit short but I see it as less to fork out in December.
DH and DS are in the front garden cutting the hedge with a chain saw it is leyandii and it had really started to get out of hand so they have taken it down from 12' to 4' don't know if it will survive such a drastic haircut but I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't, it takes a lot of work to keep it trimmed all the time.
I have made some twinks, a mandarine sponge and 4 swiss rolls so far and I have a loaf of bread proving - think that I will make some empire biscuits and a walnut cake next then I will have to find some room in the freezer so that they last the week out otherwise the hungry pixies that hide somewhere in the house will devour them :rotfl:
Dinner tonight is HM pizza and maybe some wedges.
Have good days all BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

All worn out from a day at the beach yesterday so having a day at home. Lots of hoovering done today and washing on the line
Take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Had a late start this morning which was probably due to the fact that i woke with a nightmare last night and couldn't get back to sleep afterwards. It's lovely having a lie in but I feel as though I have missed out on so much of the day.
Have done a load of washing that is now on the line. Also been to Argos and picked up a new duvet for winter as last winter i woke up cold. popped into b&q and got some shelfboard and thats about it really. Dinner tonight will be sausage, egg and chips and then we are going to settle down with a bottle of wine to watch Clash of the Titans.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!!0
