The Tesco and Asda sales tend to only have selected stock in the sale whereas Sainsburys (last year) put the whole of the toy departement in the sale! Great way to get your Christmas shopping done in one go. You have to move fast as most things fly off the shelves and as you would expect you will always find the people that are only out to gain from these events and basically man the shelves with 3 trolleys and sweep them clean! Quite a lot of people stay up until midnight on the Wednesday when the sale goes live, the only problem is that this year this has been widely advertised and I would not be suprised if the site crashes within seconds of it going live!

Yes I popped into tesco today and their half price toy sale was feeble indeed compared to Sainsburys. It takes alot to entice me out of bed early. I can't wait! Really hope they get some more stock out though or I will be disappointed, last week there were hardly any toys out

Many thanks for both your replies. I knew their had to be a good reason why everyone is getting so excited. I can see why now.

I will have to start looking on the sainsburys website and jotting down my shopping list

    Thank you
  • Does anyone know if it goes live in store on the Wednesdy - i.e midnight? Might just be worth hanging out in one of the larger stores!!!
