They have to give the McDonalds discount cards out at the store when you present your NUS Card or whatever.

And they rarely have any in :(

    Good luck with getting one!!

not always the case i normally get a free burger just by producing my student card without the macdonalds card.

Oh dear.........guess i caused grief. I was buying the kids a macdonalds anyway so it was a freebie to me and I didn't know anything about the 'student discount' bit until i saw it come up on the till.

Hope this post was helpful to some........
  • Hi

An NUS card lets me have a free hamburger, cheeseburger or mcflurry.

I also had another 6month card which let em have either of those items with buying an extra value mealt to.

Its worth keeping an eye out for these things.

Give her a break, rather than criticising her for posting with the wrong heading or in the wrong forum etc. thank her for highlighting this.

its not suitable for anyone. why would anyone want to eat at McDonalds. And giving kids a 'happy' meal and finishing it off with a McFlurry makes my blood run cold. Why not just give them a bag of sugar?

Don't want to start a debate here but a McD's once and a while won't do you any harm, its all about a balanced diet. In my opinion they have really improved over the years offering healthier alternatives & I think they do what they do well (and I don't have anything to do with them!)
Thanks for the info op, will pass it on!
