Free MacDonalds McFlurry

My kids have a card 'young scot card' for a cashless system for school meals. The card has many high street shop discounts attached eg bodyshop, but they informed me if they bought a meal at MacDonalds they could get a free McFlurry icecream (worth 99p)..... i was dubious, especially if i was only buying a 'happy meal @ £1.99'! but the kids were correct and I got free McFlurry's. When it was put in the till, the words 'student discount' came up. Got me thinking that maybe if you have a student discount card you could get one too.

Let me know if it works folks.

A free 99p McFlurry is better than a poke in the eye...... hee hee:j

Yup, i do believe its the new student discount... i *think* you get a choice between Mc flurry, a medium drink or fries! Something like that anyway

They have to give the McDonalds discount cards out at the store when you present your NUS Card or whatever.

And they rarely have any in

do note it says student card - NOT NUS extra.

so this is another student discount which is valid without having to pay a rip off amount for a useless card.

as far as i can tell only HMV are refusing student cards and demanding extra cards.
