Anyone ever had to inform DVLA of change of SORNed vehicle address????

I own a car which lives on my dad's driveway 100 miles away, it has not moved from the driveway for about 5 or 6 years now. It is declared SORN.
In that time I have moved address twice, and just sent the car's V5C off with the new address each time. I have never been fined, I have never been asked where the vehicle is kept, I have never had the DVLA knocking at my door like the Gestapo.
The V5C is the keeper's address, not that of the car.
You won't have any problems with the DVLA if you are merely updating the address with the same registered keeper. If the keeper changes, SORN must be 're-declared' or the vehicle taxed accordingly.
I purchased a SORN'd vehicle 2 years ago, which was trailered to my dad's drive (yes, I know, poor dad lol). I re-declared the SORN and changed the keeper details to my own. Again, the DVLA did not fine me, ask me how it got to the new address, nor did they coming knocking on my door.
How did you get on with the DVLA, has it all worked out as planned?0 -

However when the DVLA see that im changing the cars address AND see that it's SORNed, im concerned they might send me one of their stupid fines on the assumption that the car must have been moved without tax.

Surely they need to prove this before they fine you. They can't just issue fines on an 'assumption'. If, as you say, it was driven on trade plates then you're covered.
If you have yet to move it, then perhaps just phone them and ask them to make a note on your file of your intention and the date it will be moved (and get the person's full name for your records).YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

They can assume what they like, it's always up to you to prove otherwise.
Once they issue a fine there's no way at all to get out of it, they change what they're fining you for until eventually you can't wriggle free.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You've covered your back, which is the most important issue. The facts seems to be that you originally had to inform the DVLA where the vehicle was kept, but recently this has been relaxed. Just another ambiguity in the ways of the licensing aurthorities;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

The DVLA are renowned for issuing fines on an assumption with no evidence. The legality that allows them to do so is that they are not 'fines' they are debts owed to the crown, so they tell you
"You owe us £xxx and if you don't pay we will recover it from you in court"

The "Registered Keeper" is the person who is responsible for that car, the person who generally arranges insurance, MOT, Road Worthiness, where the vehicle will be stored, authorizes persons to use the car on the road etc. The addesss of the registered keeper can be different from the address where the car is kept.0 -

This was for 5 or 6 years up to not more than 3 years ago. Why should there be a requirement on that form and not on the sorn?, assuming it's changed
I have been SORNing regularly over the years aswell, and I agree that many years ago there was a section which asked for the SORN address where the vehicle was to be kept. This changed a few years ago, so the first time I noticed it had changed I was reading that form 3 times to make sure I wasn't missing anything. These days the V11 (tax renewal reminder) and the V14(tax disc surrender) forms do not ask for the address where the vehile is to be kept.
Perhaps you either last surrendered your tax at a time when address was to be supplied or you happened to use a post office with an old stock of V14s ?0 -

No they can't.... it's up to you to stand up to them!
I've been reading all your posts re: dvla & you always say the same thing "they always win, there's nothing you can do".... absolute nonsense.
I don't know your particular beef with them but constantly posting the same b@llox doesn't help anyone.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0
