Anyone ever had to inform DVLA of change of SORNed vehicle address????

As the title suggests, i've got a second car which is under SORN but needs to be moved to a new address.
Don't worry I can get this done on trade plates with no issue at all......
However when the DVLA see that im changing the cars address AND see that it's SORNed, im concerned they might send me one of their stupid fines on the assumption that the car must have been moved without tax.
Once they do this, I know from experience that they won't f*ck off until they've successfully slapped a fine on you for whatever made up reason they can think of
I was going to call the DVLA and ask them myself, but I don't think I could resist the snide remarks written above.... Slightly unfair on the unsuspecting telephonist
Any experiences of similar?

You're not changing the cars address, just yours as the registered keeper! The car doesn't have an address.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
DVLA don't care where the car is... as long as its off road when SORNed.0

I've needed to speak to the DVLA a few times over the past couple of days about this same sort of thing and must say they've been nothing but helpful.
Wealdrome has a point; it's your address on the log book - not the car's. As long as it's off road once it's been moved it shouldn't be an issue.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Don't you have to resorn it when updating the V5c? When I bought a SORNED car I didn't realise it ended the SORN0

No you don't for change of address, only for change of keeper.
OP - all the change of address will do is update the address and get you a shiney new style V5C, it will have no effect on the SORN.

No, we've moved SORNed motorbikes several times and the DVLA haven't given us any problems. As people have said, it's the keeper who has moved, the vehicle may or may not have moved as far as DVLA are concerned. I don't think I have ever had to tell the DVLA where the vehicle would be kept, but you do (obviously) have to confirm that it won't be kept or used on the public highway.0

Ok, erm.... I think i'll call them anyway just to be sure, phone on loud speaker and record the conversation just to cover my back.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
