Morning everyone,
Sally, good luck with the appeal. I;ve got everything crossed for you.
Pooky, yeah that you're OH's PHI claim's been accepted.
Ames, I hope you're ok after yesterdays car crash.
Luc, thanks for the challenge.
Hello to anyone I may have missed.
1. Instead of the Friday 'treat' (bacon roll or whatever) put the money in your savings /debt busting fund. I've put the £10 note in my purse into my sealed pot.
2. Pick a drawer/bag/cupboard/box and sort it out. Rubbish in the bin. Unwanted items to the ebay pile/charity shop. Not sure if there's anything else I can ebay, give away.
3. List 3 items on ebay or take that overflowing cjarity bag to the shop finally as above.
4. Devote 15minutes to some form of exercise (and yes doing housework at full tilt does count, as does any activity that gets you sweaty;)) I will be going for a walk at lunchtime and doing my hot pants work out dvd.
5. Pay something forward Not sure what I can do for this!
My OH starts his job a month early, as he's been asked to help with the set up of the new facility. He's had to sign a form to say that he won't remove the books from the facility or injure them. So I waffled on how you can 'injure' books, which he found highly amusing.
It's 45 days until my exam!! EEEKK, I've started revising but I fear it's not sinking in. As

Other than that I really need to finish the book for mondays book club.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Good morning all - always lurk but never seem to find time to post:(
DD has gone to nursery but my 2 DSs are still at home ....3 teacher training days at the start of term!!!!! Am currently following Flylady (her plan, not the one on Old Style which is much harder!!) and so have already cleaned my car/bag/purse out and am on my 3rd load of washing!! Not quite sure how I'll keep up with it when I'm back at work next week, but we'll see..
Was planning to clean the windows today as they were SO awful...then I spotted the local window cleaner doing his rounds....I'm not normally home on Fridays when he comes, so he has now cleaned them all and it was well worth the money!!! He'll be coming to do them every 5 weeks, so I'm chuffed!!!!
Got to wait in for a parcel delivery...am hoping it comes early as I need to pop to the shops, DS2 has been invited (at very short notice) to a party tomorrow and I need to get some kind of pressie.
DSs are having their pre school haircuts today (courtesy of my mom) and then I just need to finish off naming the uniform and I'm almost done!!
Sally - hope you get the result you want at the appeal.
Hope you all have a great day...enjoy the sunshine:)20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Butti - PHI is permanent health insurance - a policy that's supposed to cover 65/70% of your wages if you cannot work due to accident or illness...it's a policy his company take out to cover all employess which means they can get away with full sick pay for 3 months and then SSP for 3 months then the policy should kick in and cover some of the loss of wage.
It will be a huge relief if everything goes through ok as it means that if he's not able to return to work, they'll have to continue to pay until retirement age.
They've had medical evidence from 2 neurologists, an orthapeadic surgeon, the chronic pain team and 3 independant medical report writers which all say that he's not fit to work so why it's taken them this long to sort it is beyond me."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. Morning.
Good luck Sal & B, also hope it all goes through ok Pooky.
Off to work soon, need to sort a few things out there and then later on....I'm off to see Robbie Williams
have heard he won't be singing, but I'm hoping the performer in him takes over :j:j:j:j:j
Can you tell I'm excited

I heard on the radio this morning he's doing the lights but will not be singing....some how I doubt that, like you say - the performer in him will probably take over! Take lots of pictures, we all like a drool."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Doesn't want to brag, but I stood behind the lovely Robbie at JFK Airport waiting to go through security. Not the right time for me to ask for a pic or tell him he makes me knees go weak.
Plus he has a house in a village not far from me.
I've got everything crossed for you Pooky.

Hi all
Loggin on quickly from work (as per....:))
Sal - everything crossed for you today x
Luc - fab news on your exercise; you are doing SO well
everyone else....don't think I'm ignoring you, just can't be on here very long.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Hope it went well this morning Sally. I was going to suggest you pop into me at work on your way past but 'that certain someone' is here so I doubt you'd want to

thinking about getting some new curtains for the living room. The ones in it are functional, but are a thin IKEA pair I bought from ebay when I moved here and dyed brown. They have faded on the window side from the sun and are incredibly thin. I have a house that's hard to heat in the winter and even with double glazing it feels cold near the window. I have also been thinking lately that even after 6 years here my house still feels like a 'house', not a home and that it just lacks a bit of...........I don't know.........warmth and 'feeling' to it.........I was somewhere really lovely recently where the soft furnishings really made the place and I think I want to start trying to put a bit of love into my house and some lovely thick curtains will help. OH has always said that I should go for minimal etc adn the house has ended up a bit 'starchy' feeling but I prefer a bit of rustic cottage warmth so I'm going to pop to B+Q after work and see what they have.
