all the cheap broadband deals are for slower speeds or tiny download limits. Boo!

plus net are about 3 quid more expensive, but do (a pathetically small, but better than talktalk) 60gb usage limit, and more importantly for me, have a monthly rolling contract. If they force a new fixed length contract onto me, I'm off to them.

60GB'd be fine for me - TalkTalk's 40GB does me so I'd be happy to have 40GB minimum. But all the cheap ones I can find are around 10GB - eek! Problem is I'm paying £18.48 for 40GB broadband, free weekend calls and line rental - the Plusnet Extra 60GB package with phone (free evening and weekend calls - but I hardly use the phone so not bothered by the extra evening calls!) works out over £50 a year more expensive :( I wish Plusnet would do a 40GB package with less free calls and undercut TalkTalk by a quid a month or something. I hate the fact that TalkTalk are the cheapest! Are broadband costs ever going to come down any further? I mean, Tiscali were the cheapest before at £14.99 a month and now it's TalkTalk it's gone up nearly £4 a month... you'd think there's be a bit more competition going on.

and alledgedly gone up another 50p, and we are all going to be moved to an even more expensive talktalk package soon, either the essentials (£19.03) or plus (£27.03).

Whether that puts us all on a NEW 12/18/24 month contract is still to be answered. But the difference between that and plusnet is 12pence a day, rather than a possible 18 month tie in to talktalk.
  • Move about 3 months ago as my price plan nearly doubled over night with Talk Talk. had heard how bad they were so got out while I could. Now with the post office free mobile calls at weekends. They have been ok so far.
