2009 Mervia Design 1.4 2009- Spare wheel missing or is it (FURTHER BITS MISSING ???)

most new cars dont come with a cigarette lighter anymore.. its now classed as a 12v accessory socket..
thanks for that, at least it puts my mind at rest, was beginning to think there was all sorts of bits n bobs missing
however surely there should be a wheel jack & a wheel nut wrench, or do new cars not have these now as well0 -

If the car has no spare wheel it should have a compressor and a bottle of gunk with a screw on filling tube. If there is a lock on each wheel, denoted by a different nut/bolt then the locking wheelnut key should be in the same tray as the gunk or bundled with the toolkit. For some new cars they leave the locking wheelnut key in the glovebox.
find this odd , as its listed on the car spec as alloy wheels, also wheel locking nuts as a feature
yet the wheels nuts all appear to be the same

this lists both Alloy wheels and wheels locking bolts
hence the query with 1 or 2 other bits missing (listed above)0 -

Most cars don't have a cigarette lighter, but the 12v socket remains. It was a trend started by BMW in the 90's.The man without a signature.0

The spare wheel thing is a silly con caused by emissions regulations.
By making the spare optional they don't have to include it in the car submitted for emissions testing, and thus with the reduced weight it will get better MPG, lower emissions and possibly a lower tax bracket.
If someone chooses to take the optional spare, that doesn't affect the official figures. Oh and it makes the car slightly cheaper to build too.0 -

!!!!!! then why include it in the handbook, giving clear descriptions of where it is and how to use, also clear pictures of its location
yet you open the boot and it not there, !!!!!!0 -
A lot of Motorpoint cars are imported from RHD markets such as Cyprus and as such may have a different spec to UK cars. The man without a signature.0
