I'm hoping to spend around £20 or under if poss and it is for family but I'm also really interested in what everyone's favourite gift was. If anyone has any suggestions that'd be fab too though!
I'll be helping clean and unpack anyway and I'm stealing the cookies idea too, thanks sooz.

Wine is always a good one...
Though if wanted to buy something for the actual house i can highly recommend Dunelm Mill, everything from kitchen, bedding and mirrors and rugs all at reasonable prices...
Oh and the offer to unpack, they'll love you for life...:D0 -
Photo frames...or if they're a bit arty a canvas and paints from the Works?
Quick way to personalise their home0 -
Best ever was the "loan" of 4 rugby league players - they did all the carrying and lifting while I made tea, coffee, bacon butties and changed my mind over location of furniture umpteen times.0

No toilet brush will ever go near my house ever again after watching a Kim and Aggie programme once! Filthy, dirty, disgusting things. Gloves on, bleach down the pan and go!!!
Too right. Bleach round the pan regularly and it shouldn't even need cleaning in the scrubbing sense. If there is something there I use bleach or bathroom cleaner on it then wipe it off with loo roll and flush. Mess and the cleaning pad used disposed of.
I have never seen a toilet brush that looked clean; they always end up with gross looking old water in the bottom of their pot.0 -
Thanks everyone for all the replies. Slightly disturbed by the toilet brush meandering though !!!!
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!0
