How do I get out of ORANGE CONTRACT

I purchased an iphone 3GS a few weeks ago (over 14days) about mid August and signed up to a two year contract. I have recently moved house and I now have no signal what so ever at home. When we viewed the property i had signal on my old orange phone (N95) as I remember somebody calling me and now I have none. Went into the orange shop and they basically said they cannot do anything and they do not do any type of refund/cancellation etc they told me to phone customer services. They did change my handset over to a 2g network service and said that my old phone probably worked off of 2g so there should be signal for that. I went home last night and still- nothing.
So now I am stuck in a two year contract with no signal at home. I have put the address details into an orange signal checker on their website and my home location came back as 'very good' signal for calls & texts.
Advise please! I feel really stuck. Is there anyway I can cancel this contract?

Hi there
This is an old question and unfortunately, the answer is "no". It's not the fault of Orange that you moved. Sorry. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
Oh - by the way - there's an update for the iPhone coming out. It doesn't fix any issues with the signal officially, but they may have "tweaked" something. Suggest you update iTunes & download iOS 4.1 when it comes out next week.In the beginning, the universe was created. May be the case Oscar, but they did appear to do due diligence - chacking with Orange coverage (it lies !) and checking with an old Orange phone first.
So, with that in mind, you should approach Orange again and tell them how many bars you are getting in the same place with each phone. Phones must be fit for purpose and whereas they may be unwilling to cancel the airtime contract, they might be willing to swap phones for one that does work as well as your old one.
But they have so many caveats on their reception and coverage site that legally you may be stuck.0 -

Do you get any signal in the garden?0 -
Its not to do with the move as I had signal at the property before on the old orange phone and now I have no signal with the new orange phone. Sorry I dont think I explained the situation very well.0

I wish you the best of luck...you will need it. It took me the best of a year to get some kind of a solution to my signal problem. My advice would be to go through the correct complaints procedure which, if still not happy, will end up with you approaching the Orange Executive office who have resolved many cases.0
