Just checking in quickly whilst dd has a nap after a busy morning!
Thanks Georgie, that sounds great. I will experiment with that. Earthgirl we wouldn't lose much and it would be the left hand corner which we don't tend to use anyway. It would be good to get an idea of price per sqm. Can you recommend the firm? Are they local?
Devon is wonderful! Had a great afternoon at the beach yesterday afternoon when we arrived and although we could walk it the return journey of a 30 minute walk uphill with a 6 month bump and DH carrying a sleeping dd proved difficult!
We've been to Exmoor Zoo this morning which DD loved and DH held a tarantula! I bravely 'stroked' a cockroach aswell. Am trying to find somewhere nice to go for a meal later and think i've found the place we passed on the way in which is right on the beach so we may see sand again this holiday (we're certainly not doing that walk again!)
Debating whether to do the Big Sheep or Dinosaur Park tomorrow, I am swaying towards the sheep as our local zoo has a dinosaur exhibition at the moment so could do that when we come home.
Am not thinking about how much money we are spending and am just buying what we need. Paying cash though so there are no surprises!
DM gave me £60 before we came towards the pram so I transferred that to savings before we left. We are just going through an astronomical amount of petrol and had some problems with the M6 toll on the way down and due to taking the wrong turn ended up paying for 2 tolls! Need to fill up the tank again and I was horrified that I got £68 worth of petrol in it on Sunday! :eek:June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Sooo glad you liked the zoo. Watch out for the shetland ponies at Big Sheep - they bite:eek:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
The zoo sounds great. The best one I've ever been to is Paignton but that was yonks ago so there's probably better ones now. They are doing up Chester Zoo which is a bit closer home for me.
That floorplan website is fab, but my walls keep moving! It'll come in handy for when we extend above the utility and get another 2 bedrooms. Thanks for that.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I love zoos! Edinburgh Zoo is great if you're ever in Scotland. We were thinking of going to Twycross Zoo when we're in the Midlands in a few weeks time. Haven't been there for years but remember it being good. Anyone been there recently?0

Well who knew it could rain so much in Devon! Took DD to soft play today as it's just so wet. We thought it may brighten up for some time at the beach but it has just carried on raining.
I thought tonight was our last night so we would be coming hime tomorrow but I got my baby brain into gear and figured out we don't come home till Friday morning. I think a better day is forecast tomorrow so I am REALLY hoping for a few hours at the beach. We stilll haven't had a Devon cream tea!
I've tried to do a few Onepoll surveys but getting screened out all the time. It's taking me forever to get to payout.
Am so glad we upgraded the caravan as we have so much space and DD is able to play with her toys. I just can't believe how unlucky we have been with the weather.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I live 20 minutes from Chester Zoo and we will go all the time. I expect we will go there at the weekend. I believe Chester Zoo is the biggest/best in the country and we love going there.
I used the site quickly but it does look fab to use. I can't wait to try it out properly.AuntieMabel wrote: »I love zoos! Edinburgh Zoo is great if you're ever in Scotland. I've only been to Chester. Was hoping to go to Paignton while we were down this way but it's a 2 hour drive from where we are. Zoos are a fab day out though.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

They haven't arrived yet, earthie.
Sorry about the weather, Cath. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
After realising that we weren't due home until Friday morning we decided to drive back today after it poured down through breakfast with no sign of any let up!
Have returned home to a glorious North Wales and have been playing in the garden with DD.
DH has had a letter to say that to avoid redundancies his employers are doing a 2 stage pay cut  As of October he will lose £500 a year and the same the following year. If our mortgage wasn't so big it would make sense for him to be a SAHD.
Hopefully I will be back with a more cheerful post laterJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
oh dear, but at least they are trying to avoid redundancies. Will it make a big difference?15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
