You make a cheesecake mix and use an eater egg half with a small layer of biscuit as a base. After buying some more chocolate for the topping yesterday I checked method and realised I still need double cream. It's just starting to feel like an awful lot of novelty calories to me so think we will have a deconstructed version instead!April spends

Well this warm sunshine is really trying to cling on and it finally brightened up this afternoon. Not warm enough to potter in the garden so caught up on some jobs in the house. Also did some admin jobs including some money shuffling and overpaid mortgage by 60p as used a 50p voucher when I went shopping and also found 10p in the washing machine. Planning a family walk tomorrow once dh finishes his overtime shift,
he's already mentally spent his half of it - guess where the rest is going???

I love it when the washing machine starts producing coins!

The washing machine has not been as productive since.....
Checked accounts today, little change in last few days and next payday approaching fast so sent £100 to mortgage and £30 to 0% cc. Also found £5 payable in tcb (I have been checking frequently!) so have also overpaid that. Whatever is left in a few days can be paid off the t3sco stoozing card which is finally at a level where it is working as it should. Was hoping for a garden centre visit today but weather forecast wasn't great and we've had all sorts of weather today including hail and some snow. The sun is shining again now but that wind is pretty cold so no sitting out today although I have braved putting a few plants back in the sunshine. We've also moved some furniture around today and now the family area of kitchen-diner has had a mini makeover. We've moved a unit out into the dining room/snug/room of no purpose which has created some lovely space in the family area. We tried to move the cuddle chair but the flooring must have slipped so we had to move it back to cover the gap!
Dog walked, food shop done and everyone fed so might chill with a coffee and a book and enjoy my last day off of the long weekend.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!3 -
Well after a busy working week I am heading into the weekend feeling accomplished. Have done a bit of financial admin the last few days and overpaid the mortgage by £100 earlier in the week which knocked a month off and have overpaid another £135 today and knocked off another month! I had a provisional target to get that mortgage under £36k by the time we renew the deal in August and we are current;y £10 off. I'm guessing that continued overpayments may mean I can reduced the term down even more than planned. Currently planning to knock it down to 15 years from 20 (this is the extension mortgage hence the longer remaining term as had extension 5 years ago. I've also sent £130 to 0% card which puts us way ahead of our provisional goal and may even mean we can clear that outstanding amount before the 0% runs out. £50 sent to 0% card as well as £20 a few days ago. Current account looking less flush now so back to the usual practice of spending very little and overpaying what is left the day before payday. CB goes in on Tuesday which will give us a midweek boost!I was hoping to finally plant out my seedlings this weekend but we have some cold nights forecast and I'm getting used to the routine of taking out in the morning and bringing in every evening. I took the dog for a walk after work and even with my hat, coat and walking briskly it was pretty chilly. Both of the children also have football matches this weekend (on opposite days) and due to new rules I will need to sit in the car, I'm hoping to read my book with a flask of coffee, blanket and book but I'm not sure the child that isn't playing is going to be too entertained by that.Almost mid month really, yet another month that is flying by.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!2

I love that you have a cuddle chair!

It is lovely but takes up more room than you think and is actually now a glorified dog bed! We rearranged that part of the room last week and it looks like a proper lounge area now. Its funny how moving a few things and placing a plant can transform a space isn't it.
Sun is shining, washing machine on, seedlings ready to go back o again and 12p overpaid.
Right, I had better get these children ready for a morning of football.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!2 -
