It takes a while for the bonus to come through Cath. I've even emailed them once or twice to chase but they don't respond. I'd say leave it 3 weeks or so as it's normally done around then. I've been with them about 2.5 years.
What pram are you looking at ? I hate prams too, I have one I really dislike pushing now but the double one is fantastic and so light.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Thanks Iris, they have always paid out in the past, i think i am suspicious of the new site that's all!
Not really looked tbh, but lots of people been raving about the ICandy. I have a 3 wheeler in beige (am sure it's called urban detour or something) which has the car seat with it and we have another car seat with a base which we had off freecycle and lent to my brother so just need that back. I am happy to use this travel system again, only paid £150 for it and it's fine - apart from being a bit bulky and really difficult to collapse! DD walks good distances so don't need buggy board etc. We don't even take pushchair out with us anymore as she woulld rather walk (or be carried!)June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
The icandy looks good and interchangable if you have another baby soon after. We should have gone for something like that. We got a M&P one, when I use it now every now and then its so heavy. I love our baby jogger city mini though.
There's too much choice out there , prams are a fashion accessory.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Mine is heavy that's the only problem really, 2 children is our maximum though so no need for forward planning for the next one!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

My dd needs to be the one to make the decision before she'll do it too, so frustrating.0

DD's are fiercely independent aren't they. She is adamant she is having a sister too, not got much control over that though! She'll have to wait and see like the rest of us.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Lol. We're currently trying to get dd to be dry through the night. She can do it, as she wakes up with slightly samp pj's, thinks they're wet, we change her, but will she go for a wee! will she heck as like.
We'll get there.
Oh OP are being v slow today but I have managed to complete one that crashed near the end without paying out yesterday.0 -
Had renewal quote from the AA. We paid £58.50 last year after i haggled (pre MSE forum days) yet they now want £89. Will be seeing what cashback i can get for the competitors i think!
Have requested £7.55 from TCB and managed to do a few more surveys 130 points on mysurvey and a £1.50 one for newvista, such a long way off payout on there though!
Having a curry bag for tea, hopefully get to watch a film later - no idea what though!
GTM is at 865 but had no surveys for a few days so don't think they want me to get to payout!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Cath - my top picks for breakdown:
1 - autoaid for £37 for 12 months, you pay if you break down (e.g. it cost me £78? for an 8 mile tow on a truck and roadside check) then send them the invoice and they send you a cheque as a refund (I got the full £78 back within 2? weeks and paid with a cashback CC). Payment is nice and quick and they cover you for the equivalent of top UK package AA/RAC (yes the nearly £200-ish cover). Covers you and your spouse but not live-in lovers
2 - Autonational. £66 for 15 months if you buy online, plus around 17% TCB cashback. Related to autoaid but works more like the AA in that you don't need to pay and reclaim like you do with autoaid, any breakdown costs are covered by Autonational.
With both options they use local recovery firms, supporting independants and small people, not just big chains.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Thanks Katsu, that's great i will look into both of those. Thank you so much.
Mortgage balance has updated and is reflected in my signature. OP for April looks pitiful compared to the previous months. If only every month was Council Tax free!
Have recieved Halifax reward money so that's £15 in account for car expenses, that account is building up nicely.
Have worked this morning and need to pop out shortly for a mother's day gift, have no idea what though! Also need to buy DD lots of new clothes, have had a quick look on Ebay but not many bundles for sale in her size, I may have to resort to opening my Next catalogue and being tempted by all the lovely clothes!
Turned out to be a lovely sunny afternoon here which will do wonders for my energy levelsJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
