We are both still utterly gluten free, I!!!8217;ve lost 2 stone which has improved my energy levels enormously and feel great for it. DH has lost a stone and a half and can feel the benefit with his energy too. It helps that nothing in the house contains it and we don!!!8217;t eat out often so it!!!8217;s not been a problem."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

I!!!8217;m going to try it again and see how I feel. If the fatigue persists long term I will go back to the gp.
3bay item posted and food shop done. Desperately in need of a nap now!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Payday for dh and a lot more than expected which will help a lot this month especially as we agreed a quote to have some work done on the house yesterday. It's to finish the patio around the extension. It's a mess at the moment and untidy around drains and manhole cover etc. This company has done work for us before and have availability Monday so it's being done then. Also managed to squeeze a £245.56 overpayment (6p was the tilly tidy) and then realised an extra £10 would knock a month off so sent that too. Does mean we don't have a huge amount of spare cash for the month but do have enough. The children have had plenty of days out and we have zoo and NT membership we can utilise. They are at football club next week anyway so no further entertaining needed.
Mortgage end date (on part 1) is currently May 2029, I'll be 46 which would be an amazing age to be mortgage free. The second part is only £200 a month so doesn't even feel like a mortgage. I should have some generous payrises over the next few years so can definitely look into tackling that too.
I will admit to a rightm0ve browse last night looking at houses around £15k more than ours (a move would mean no mortgage increase). Well I'm pleased to say nothing compares so I am eve happier with our valuation and decision to stay put. As long as we can access decent secondary schools it will be a win-win.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Gluten free is a slog to start with, but eventually checking everything becomes second nature.
I have a link for free tickets to the London Allergy show in my email somewhere, will pass it on when I dig it out again.
Looks like you're going into the last decade? Which is amazing!0 -
Thanks Michelle, we!!!8217;re a long way from London though. Made a conscious effort again re GF and as I log everything in MFP anyway can keep an eye on things. Weight loss going so well at the moment, I have every confidence I will smash my goals. Legs still hurting after weights workout though and I mentioned it to ds when he sat on my knee. He looked at me like I was daft as the workout was two days ago!
Off to the cinema again this morning to watch greatest showman again, this time with my mum and both children, I can!!!8217;t wait! I have had the soundtrack on repeat for dd and me. Used groupon for tickets and my mum gave me the £10 and I went though tcb for 10% cashback.
Best log off and get ready, also on a shocking amount of steps aswell as didn!!!8217;t get up until after 8am!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Ah, well they have one in Liverpool and Glasgow (http://www.allergyshow.co.uk/) if that's any better.
Sometimes it's far more sore two days later than it is straight afterwards. The Gratest Showman was awesome, hope it was good on repeat!0 -
I definitely have DOMS! Film was excellent and it is the only film I have seen twice in the cinema!
Since I was in the company of my mum I ended up with a bargain earlier (it is usually the case). We were in m&s and she was buying a bottle of wine for £6.50 so I spotted it was part of the meal deal. I went to get a main and two sides and gave my mum £4 as I had also put two 30p loaves through with her shopping. She went to pay for parking with it but gave me £2 back. So for a £2 spend I have done pretty well.
Few eggs laid out tomorrow for an Easter egg trail, dd believes in the Easter bunny when it suits her. This is one of those occasions!
Cant quite believe we are in to yet another new month tomorrow, even dd thinks the year is going fast.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Last lazy day for us as part normality resumes for us tomorrow. I'm back at work and the children are going to a holiday football club. It has snowed here so the patio work has been postponed until next week. I have transferred the money to the t3sco account for now as may as well earn some interest on it. Found 87p in there which must have been added after the last time I emptied the account to pay for the bathroom. Will leave it there for now but have sent a 27p tt to mortgage this morning. Accounts not updated as this months payment not gone out yet due to bank holidays but the interest seems to be about £12 less than my spreadsheet so will update once everything updated.
No y0ugov surveys available but am up to £45 so hopefully hit payout this month. Am expecting n@twest account sign up money next week so that will pay for our zoo membership for the year. I have a ppi claim going through and dh also expecting an update on some money he is due by next week so hopefully April might be a good month for us. DH is currently in work earning double time too.
I am giving myself another hour of laziness then going to get cracking with the housework. I am delegating the skirting boards to the children! Will put on greatest showman soundtrack and see how much we can all get done.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
