Still thinking about the fake plant and wondering if I should have bought it! Might pop on the way home from work tomorrow to see if there any left. You never know they may have been reduced further.
Are you on Season 1 Newgirly, it's fantastic.
Productive day today helped by the sunshine. Load of washing line dried, took ds to the park on his bike. He did however sustain a nasty bang to his leg climbing over a fence so will check on it again tomorrow. It started as a nasty scratch but there is quite a lot of swelling there now. He went back to the park with dh this afternoon aswell so hopefully it looks worse than it actually is. Bathroom and shower room deep cleaned and lounge tidied and zoflora'd. 15k steps today and stuck to calories, my motivation is sky high at the moment so I am making the most of it.
Packaged up an 3bay item which sold yesterday for £26 so have sent the £27.72 to the mortgage. I'll cover fees and postage out of normal spends. Current account a bit low now until dh gets paid at the end of the week as I have covered some of the bills that usually come out of his wages. I base his wages on take home pay before last payrise/bonus/overtime so hoping the surplus will at least cover the zoo membership he intends to renew this week.
Am working tomorrow and then have 7 lovely days off. It's rare I get that much of a break as usually work the odd day of half terms and Christmas etc. Load of washing done ready to hang out before work as rain is forecast the rest of the week. Am also aiming to do 5k steps before work as want to hit 15k every day this week.
Made another 50p on y0ugov today so hoping to cash out next month. Logging off soon to read for a bit and will catch up with some diaries after that.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Have a week off now although at one point I didn't think I would be able to leave the office I had so much to do!
Dh took the children to the zoo so £250 spent on renewing our membership but we will be visiting a lot especially as friends also have membership. £20 spent tonight on gr0upon with 5% cashback as we are off to the cinema tomorrow. dh,ds and friends are going to see black panther and I'm going to take dd to see the greatest showman. Have heard such good things about it and it starts earlier than the other film and not on for as long which means she won't miss her piano lesson.
Have been productive since finishing work, hoovered upstairs and main living areas and have mopped downstairs. Up to 10k steps so just another 5k to do before bed :eek:June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Have had a wonderful first day off. House was valued this morning and to my surprise we have actually increased our equity in the property. House valued at 20k more than I expected. If we were to market it now, it would be at 50k higher than we did previously. However I think we would have needed to drop our previous asking price by at least 10k to have had a chance of selling. My maths tells me we have increased our equity by £15k after expenses by doing the extension (I thought we would have still been short by about 20k) Always a good sign when the EA says 'wow' when they walk in.
Took dd to the cinema and we parked up and walked the remaining half a mile to save on parking. dh parks in the nearby residential area but I always feel too guilty but am too tight to pay for parking. It helped with steps and money saved. If you're yet to the 'the greatest showman' please go and watch it! More than once if you like.
50p on y0ugov and 83p tilly tidy. Running down the fridge and freeze so I had an interesting dinner especially as trying to hit my macros. I had cod, veg and a wholemeal roll with hummus. 15k steps hit again as losing weight steadily. I am a healthy weight but would love to lose this last stubborn but that requires effort!
Had the option of taking the children out again tomorrow but it would have resulted in spends of about £40 so I haven't told them anything about it and we are planning a relaxing day at home. dd says she plans to sleep until 10am and has asked me to wake her, maybe early teenage hormones kicking in?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Great news on the house. We have a new development of 10 houses in the village, the 3 bed version is lots smaller than ours and on for £389k and it!!!8217;s right on the main road, DH wants to get ours valued as he thinks it would have pushed prices up but I can!!!8217;t see the point at the moment, we need to stay here for a few more years.

How did going gluten free work for you?
Valuations can be dangerous and lead to rightm0ve browsing! I've slipped a bit and have a bit of gluten a few days a week, e.g a wholemeal roll or crumpet. I am shattered though so will remove it again. I've gone back through mfp and I am not having much but maybe need zero! Are you still both GF and feeling the benefits? It's also possible my iron has dropped again though.shangaijimmy wrote: »Great result and makes the hard wrok and mess tolerance well worth it! Absolutely, I am thrilled to have added value. I daren't go on rightmove :rotfl:
DH gets paid tomorrow so I've emptied the current account. Had £19 left (other accounts a bit scary but taking that as a win!) Also sold a BIN item on 3bay so have sent the £5.60 as an OP too and will post today as aware lots of BH coming up. Need to pop out anyway as very low on basic rations! Will use cash from purse for damage limitation on accounts.
dd pestering me wanting to see greatest showman again today, I imagine we will be buying the dvd as soon as it comes out and relying on the soundtrack to keep us going until then.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Just to say that to truly get the benefits of being gluten free, you have to be completely gluten free! Not a crumb must cross your lips. Wheat, barley, rye and probably oats too. But you prob know that anyway, so I'll stop now!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
