    Big GoT fans here too!

We were in the middle of Riviera when our TV went bang last night! Very inconvenient, it's 9 years old but would have preferred it to last a bit longer even though it was showing signs it was on its way out. Volume would be max when we turned it on, odd black crack type line on screen etc but I'd got used to those!

I actually think we are going to have to reduce our mortgage overpayments for now to cope with the short term spending

FOUR kids birthday parties? I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

A very dramatic exit on the part of the telly! Our old school fat back one is still going after 12 years, which the teenager is very embarrassed about. These things all come at once, hope a short break from the OP will get you back to where you want to be.

DD is currently at party number 3!

New TV bough yesterday, DH was looking at ridiculously big TV's but we bought a 40 inch for £249 which we were both happy with.

Rang 8ky yesterday as was sure deal was coming to an end. We have knocked the sports off our bundle and knocked £13 a month off the bill, got this deal for the next 18 months which I am happy with.

Having a very lazy day, I'm not feeling great as been struggling with fatigue recently an today my legs are really aching and I am exhausted. Ds woke up being really sick last night (not like him at all) but he is much improved today and has been eating. He wanted to watch Home Alone as he remembers watching that last time he was unwell.

Overpayment SO has been reduced so we can catch up with ourselves financially. We have an expensive couple of months before things get easier in September.

I was worried broken things were going to happen in 3's. First the tv then yesterday I realised our house phone is completely dead and won't charge. Hoping we have had our 3rd as dh noticed my front tyres need replacing. I'll take his car tomorrow so he can sort it out. Hoping that is our lot!

Not much planned for the rest of today. Will watch tennis final and have a little browse on here whilst trying to stay awake!

Quietly plodding! Hung some washing on the line hoping it dries before the weather changes. I do love a good thunderstorm though and it always reminds me of watching one as a child eating choc-ice :)

DH has checked his payslip and the bonuses and overtime have paid off so the money shuffle will be a lot easier tomorrow :j

End of term approaches for the children and they are definitely ready! It does mean longer evenings for us though as they are going to bed a little bit earlier.

Don't know if it's been available for a while or I have only just noticed it but downloaded the y0ug0v app today so have downloaded that so can hopefully do more surveys as it's slow process over there.

Am way behind on diaries so will try and catch up to see what you're all up to!

Sounds great Jimmy, hope you all have a fab time and you have dry weather.

All the money shuffles done, all spending balanced as have used the cc in an effort to stooze to save on interest. Replacement tyre was £44 and I need another one replacing in the next month or so. Childcare, football club and swimming lessons also paid for.

Have paid another £70 off the holiday balance but I am mindful it is the summer holidays and we may need some extra disposable income. Have left us with a budget of £300 disposable income which is ample as food/fuel is in a separate account. That said, I've just spend £36 on tickets to see a famous comedian locally so that's something to look forward to.

The pension age increase makes for depressing reading and I am mid 30's. I should have a fairly generous public sector pension but DH's pension is poor (he has a stakeholder one plus the new employer one) but in total only contributes about £100 a month so I know we need to do something about this.

We're in a similar boat, we increased DH contributions as his is a basic one. Are you in a position to up his contibution or look at other options? We're putting off increasing DH again until our debts are more manageable but I often wonder will we ever feel comfortable enough to increase it again or will we always prioritise debt/ mortgage etc and then find we are too late! Scary thought but my Dads often on me about it.

We've got good pensions from when we both worked for banks - but they're old now and we need to do more current work. We really need to see an IFA but I keep knocking it down the list of my priorities, which is daft, really
