oh yes, had my fair share last time round. I am already half a stone lighter than normal weight so could do without it as i then look a bit gaunt up until 12 weeks!
Going to have to go to out of hours docs this evening, i think i must have a throat or upper respiratory tract infection. Just rang in sick for the morning, controlled myself well but was in floods of tears when i came off the phone - guilt/fear/hormones? Anyway, i feel really poorly and have had this since saturday and worked all weekend, enough is enough.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hurrah! Lovely news.I hate that when you feel guilty for being ill, as though you're somehow doing it on purpose. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Great news -I am pregnant! Official testing day today and after a couple of faint positives got another digital and had firm confirmation! Am delighted! Have been really poorly over weekend which has affected excitment tbh, throat like razor blades and high temp. A friend took DD for a couple of hours this morning and after a bath and some chicken soup feel loads better!!
Thats fantastic news! congratulations hun x

Thank you everyone, i feel very lucky. I think i am due 6th October and will arrange to see midwife soon. Got doctors later as I am still unwell and out of hours didn't want me! I am not sure they will be able to give me anything but a diagnosis and feeling justified for having to be off work would be okay with me! I think there's a lot to be said for rest and plenty of fluids but if you're working that's not going to happen! No one thanks you for working when you're ill but hopefully they'll believe me now I've rung in sick. No one seems to get the benefit of the doubt anymore do they.
Haven't had a cup of coffee this morning - could be throat related or pregnancy but I am pleased as I drink far too much of the stuff! Can't see me drinking one at all today tbh. I realised yesterday (of course i did know this already) but my DH really is fab. When he had flu he still helped me get DD out of the door for 7am for me to work while he stayed off, yet this morning let me stay in bed and took her to nursery and himself to work. Went out after work for me last night to get supplies (after settling DD to bed) and when I came down this morning he had cleaned the kitchen! Think i have a good one there! :smileyhea
I did try to reassure him last night that me feeling this poorly is NOT pregnancy related and won't continue for another 8 months!
Think OP's will be on target this month, managed to retrieve the money from my sainsburys savings account (had to close it) so that added to ~£33 of TCB money this week will help. Still on target to OP by £450. Think being us both being unwell has helped the food budget considerably! Hurry up end of month so i can correct my SS!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
