Hmmm, 1/3 of the way through the month and spent half the budget! Need a quiet week to get back on track. Have enjoyed a great couple of hours at a local mere and park. I really do love Autumn, there were lots of families making the most of the fine weather and a really lovely atmosphere.

Done no housework or decluttering but I guess that isn't what weekends are really for?

    Ideally, no!!:D

SOunds like a lovely weekend so far - hope the rest is as good :)

It's definitely been cooler today, glad we made the most of it yesterday. Think I need to admit defeat with trying to get washing dry on the line, the air is just too damp. Haven't done too badly getting to early October before using TD or putting eating on to dry clothes though. They just sit on airers for too long and I hate washing hanging around.

Children have been particularly challenging at times today and the problem was squabbling. Any tips? Swimming lessons done, house cleaned, DH did 7 hours OT, some reading homework completed, DH made a roast dinner and soup to last all week. House feeling organised and calm so is just a shame we only have a few hours left of the weekend!

However, one of our favourite series starts again this evening - h0mel4and. Any other fans?

Also started reading a new book, actually think I am using it as a form of escapism at the moment!

  • My washing was on radiators for last few days.

If you do get tips for stopping squabbling siblings, please let me know....

My tips for squabbling are to hang in there until they are teens, then they become too lazy to squabble and just throw in the odd insult to each other now and again :rotfl:

Cath, have you thought of using a heated airer? Big layout but way more cost effective than a td or having the heating on, can be left on constantly if needs be, takes double duvets, i've had mine about 4 yrs now , its amazing.

Goes to google heated airers ......

As I'm dreading teenage years this has helped, thanks. Now just to get through the next 6 years of squabbling:rotfl:

Try drying with a dehumidifier. especially useful if you have any pockets of damp in the house

EDITED : just had a heated airer pop on my intu email with a big reduction. That said I dont know how much they usually cost http://intu.co.uk/shop/product/1938912?utm_source=intu&utm_medium=Centre-Newsletter&utm_campaign=Mixed-Tuesday-Online-Offers-131015
