Help!
I'm a single woman living in London who is finding it extremely hard in finding potential suitors. I've joined numerous dating websites, I constantly socialise with friends and I have yet to meet a partner. The majority of my friends are either married, in long term relationships with children so I'm feeling like I'm going to be a spinister for the rest of my life.
So I'm being brave....I'm putting myself 'out there' by asking if they are any single men who are looking for friendship or a relationship.
Details available on request!

Have you tried Salsa classes? My friend has just started going, and has been inundated with letches... Pitty she only went for the dancing really

I really wish I had your courage! I'm resigned to spinsterhood on account of being petrified of putting it/me out there!
Good luck in your quest.

Showmethemoney and Sazbo,
Whatever your interests/hobbies are I suggest you start loitering/chatting on forums. You will find like minded people who share the same passion for your interests. Friendships can genuinely develop and if you're careful and lucky maybe more. It worked for me. It was easy, I LOVE football :T0 -

I've tried salsa once...I was too busy looking at my feet to notice the talent!:D
Two left feet unfortunately and the women at the class were really competitive so I didn't go back!0 -

I've been chatting like mad! I've been on forums/sites for the past 3 years and had some relationships that have all failed. I think it must be me
Thanks for the advice...
P.S I tried the footie....one ex partner loved arsenal more than life...it was too much to bare :mad:0 -
hmm.. how about this as a possible addition to the site (here's an idea for you martin) .. money saving dating? A free dating section for people with MSE attitudes?0

the gym??
Obviously would have to be the council gym to tie in with MSE:p
Always seemed to be plenty men there that would happily chat to the more flirtatious ladies.
Ask your friends to set you up on a few blind dates- they must have access to single male colleagues,at least!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

when you go out are you coming across as desperate (no offence meant)- if so alot of men would run a mile. are you seeing men merely as part of a baby making machine?Help! there are ways other than just the internet and the method you choose depends on how far you are prepared to go- whatever one you choose please ensure your safety- this is paramount. - e.g. local press, join clubs, college, speed dating etc. you could try the radio programme with graham torrington called 'late night love' on 'real radio' where they basically give your profile over the air. no idea how successful it is. heard a program on one radio station recently where x writes in saying they like y, the radio presenter phones y, and then x asks them over the air to go out with y. there is a women's magazine where they do a profile of you including picture and arrange dates with 3 men. you date them all and then you have to say at end which man you want finally to go out with. he then has to say whether he will see you again. can't remember name of magaizne but it's one of the more expensive ones (not woman, women's own, take a break, women's weekly etc). can think of other ways- how far will you go?0 -
Hi there
Interesting post.
Its really strange, being single in London can be very hard. There are many millions of people living in London and loads of them are single. However the million dollar question is where do you meet them?
Are you a local from London? Do you already have a social circle? What about asking your friends to set you up with someone they know, like a their partner's friend or someone from the office?
How old are you? Could you go on something like speed dating (as suggested above). Or as others have suggested, maybe join a club?
You have any specific interests? Maybe join a club with what you have an interest in? Or have you been wanting to try something out but never got round to it? Maybe join a beginers club around that?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
