Not from Lidl. You would need a far larger dish and a compatible set top box. The dish you would need would be big enough to require planning permission to install. Contact a specialist satellite installer in your area.

    Why?

80cm would get 7.0e and the STB is absolutely fine.

The Lidl Satellite Receiver is compatible, what dish size would you suggest that requires planning approval?

Just look on Ebay and get an 80cm dish if you are in the south of the UK or 100cm if you are further north than Edinburgh/Glasgow. neither of these sizes will require planning permission.

I dunno. I assumed that because Senegal is in North Africa that the footprint of any serving satellites would be such that a larger dish would be needed to receive the weaker signal. That is unless they've started putting Senegalese channels on the Astra etc cluster. As I'm not Senegalese, I quite frankly don't really care.

Then why take the time to not only read a forum and a thread you have no interest in and then go further and write a post on a subject you have absolutely no knowledge of? That's just weird.

I've got a very large dish (maybe 80cm) I wanna get rid of (for free) if you're anywhere near Harrow?:D (Was used to pick up Hotbird stations, e.g. Polish channels for wife, for free but now they've encrypted every darn decent channel).

Some of French channels on Hotbird. not sure about Senegal...

So why not check your facts before offering ( wrong ) advice?

    It helps nobody.

Thought he might want a free dish, you can point a dish anywhere. Thought that was helpful as OP just wanted a large dish. Comments about Hotbird were just supplemental...

Are you confusing me with Hammyman?
