  • Thanks Eco Im defo going to start my own veg patch found this website today, as I live in a place with limited garden but i have a friend with an allotment not being used.

    http://www.startuk.org/eat/how-to-grow-vegetables-in-pots.aspx

So going to start doing them in pots!! I think organising your food is also really important - no wastage and plenty of bulk cooking and freezing. Iceland and asda are doing free delivery for me at the moment so it is handy to tak ur time while shopping online and you can see all the special offers at hand. Are tesco and asda ''organic'' range really organic?? its sooooo expensive but i fancy not eating toxins anymore!!

well im hopefully looking at hitting the £7000 next month HOPING!!! however will be opening the sealed jar and hopefully and i really hope theres 500 plus is there. But thats just a hope haha.

so getting paid on the 25th ive only managed to allocate £200 to extra debt payment next month going to pay it off my overdraft so the forcast could be
    Catalogue 220/760, Barclaycard £30753700, Virgin £3500/£3500, Hal - £0/£1800, OD £100/1000
    £9019:whistle: Now £6895

This would actually be quite nice!!! Plus if I got £500 in the jar (only opening it when told to by forum haha) it would be a healthy 6400 I would knock 220 off the catalogue, £100 off th overdraft and then the rest of the b'card

    woooo heres hoping

Hi Apple, just found your diary - exciting to read about your garden plans, and you have access to an allotment - brilliant!

I'm just about at £7000 too - how long are you looking at to get it paid off?

    Lots of luck! x

But if I can keep to my 500 aimed at debts every month it will be, buts thats ALOT OF MONEY and although ive got a pretty good job its renewed yearly :( with the government the way it is I doubt I will be able to keep my job. Please use all my quidco and topcashback tips - i earned about 600 in total now not bad for a bit of effort!!!

What are ur saving methods? Thanks for you positive comments chic xx

Oh that must be worrying with your job.

I'm really hoping for this time next year too - although it's not gonna be easy! Maybe we can keep each other motivated?

I have done cashback and surveys, but to be honest my main method has been to save on outgoings (recently moving in with OH has helped massively there!). I've also got a second job which is quite flexible but contributes a bit now and then.

  • Its worrying but uncontrollable so going to just leave it. But defo keep each other going on this because we are about the same level! Ive done the same as you and moved in with my fella and we are saving a massive £500 each so a great move and hes a top lad and we been together a year. whats ur plan then? like how much ya gonna give to ur debts every month/or save or ur outgoings? Im going to try n start this growing veg stuff im really interested in it! Esp Potatoes onions and toms!!

I have to admit tho im really hopng theres £500 in my jar that ive been saving - all the cash I made from selling my worldly goods are there as well as my quidco and TCB earnings!! EEEK> There should be at least £300 tho. 20 odd days till I open it. U should join the next one?

I wish I could have a second job but I think I would go slightly mad if I worked 9-6 every day then somewhere else on weekends!!!

    Keep saving xx

Hello! I'm looking at about £575 a month from January to clear my debts by the end of 2011. That wouldn't leave me with much spare though so the plans are to try to earn more - not really got much I could sell on eBay (did that a while back) so am thinking extra work and maybe thinking if I can make anything I can sell.

Ooh must be exciting waiting to find out what's in your pot!

  • Red its soooooo tempting to smash it now... im not going to! Yeh £575 is alot to give up outta ur wages its a lot to give up but then again clearing those debts are equally important!! Making money is sooo hard sometimes. How muchu managed to squeeze outta cashback websites? Ive had 469 outta quidco and £200 out of TCB. Ive sold about £375 worth on ebay but im all sold out now :( looking to hopefully get some cash for xmas! Im lucky I got a big family but.... being 28 they dnt give as much haha.

Right we need to Brainstorm some cash making ideas.....

    1.Daily clicks!? I roughly can make £1.50-£2 a day but aim for a £1. Its still £28 a month

    2. Finding a niche in the market and selling them on ebay! Hmmmm i think ive found one but not sure I can reaaaaallly do this, it involves being slightly creative.

    3. Finding a part time job/online job. My 9-6 kinda kills me already and dont wana ruin my relationship

    4. Budgeting BIG STYLE. Looking to do a spending diary and see exactly where my money goes.

    5. Creating a menu and planning meals for the week, big batch cooking and freezin

    6. Doing my shopping online so I can see all offers and know how much ive got in basket before I check out (cant tell u how many times ive got to the till and gone ohhhhh carp.

    7. starting a new saving jar where I empty all my change every day into it and put any money given to me or made in there

well thats me for now. You got ny other ideas? happy saving.

    Ive got no other ideas

Budgeting and spending diary are definitely a good idea - it's amazing how little things add up

I think I've made about £400 from cashback sites but there don't seem to be as many 'free' offers as there used to be. Got quite a lot from survey sites too although that tends to be vouchers.

I was pretty lucky with the second job as it's all online and pretty flexible so can be squeezed in here and there.

Have you looked at selling on Amazon? I've got a few books and DVDs which can go and I think it might be a bit better for those than eBay.

Can you make anything that you could sell online - jewellery, some sort of craft?

  • im not the most creative person so I doubt craft is my forte! Wow an online job how great! ve tried to look for one but they are all get rich quick schemes that you have to put money into!!! I wana be one of those people who work for the bingo sites and chat the to the people there that looks fab!!!!

Gud idea about selling on amazon I have got billions of dvds. Im sure ill only get quid for each and my fella would acually kick my !!!!.

Ive been off sick today so sitting here and feeling sorry for myself wondering how I can pay off this debt. Not long til I get paid tho 8 days. then I should be down to £6800 and thats a good feeling. I will be down to 2 cards (nearly and its sure better than 5!!!)
