Hi, we are currently looking at geting a steam generator iron. The Which report gives this best buy (although they didn't test the other two we were considering so not that helpful!). The report says the cord is a bit short. If you work with the steam part on the floor does the length of the cord compromise your ironing? i.e is it annoyingly short?

I have a Morphy Richards and, although the cord is long enough to reach the end of the ironing board when the generator is placed where you would ordinarily put the iron, it wouldn't be long enough if the generator was placed on the floor. With most models the iron rests on the top part of the generator though so no need to put on floor.
