Scrumptious September - the work lunches challenge

Hello all!
Well you know the drill - we're challenging ourselves to save as much as we can on lunches for work. It sounds simple, but it can really save a bundle over time - I recon I save nearly £800 a year by not spending the £5 I used to on lunches at work.
I'll update with the targets on the old thread, but if you'd like to be added for this month please put yourself down with your target in big colourful letters!
Many of us post up what we're having to give others ideas - today Im on leftover vegetarian goulash. Om nom nom!

Hi.
REALLY REALLY skint this month, but determined not to use the overdraft. So did not even have my treat on Friday as per
Today took a small bowl with me today and have some cereal in it, and will go to the shop later for some milk, I don't see this as a fail as I will be taking the leftover milk back home to finish using at home.
I must have a better look at the "feed your family for 100 pounds a month" and lift a few things off there that I can make out of the storecupboards, if not its crackers and cup a soup all round for the rest of the week.
So long as I can stay off the overdraft every thing will be fine.

Hi, I'd like to join in with this. It'll be lunches for my hubby (but me making them lol!). Normally he spends a stupid amount of money for food at work and it's not even proper food, it'll normally be a chocolate bar, pasty, crisps etc so not only should this save us a fortune it should make sure that he's actually eating something decent! He's had a ham and tomato half baguette (which I picked up from Asda last night for 5p!), homemade sausge roll and homemade cake. I think he'll be at work for 22 days this month although he's not sure if he'll be going on exercise at the end of the month so for now I'd like to be put down for 22 lunches this month athough that could change!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940

Hiya
I'd like to join in this month please, I need to resist the lovely sandwich shop on site as I can't just buy a sandwich, but end up with crisps and a drink and some sweets every time!:o
I have 13 days left to work before I go on hols, and I'll aim for 10 out of 13 lunches brought from home
Just finished todays lunch - minestrone soup (a la Nigella express) + fruit so i'm 1/13 already

hello:
OK I think I have this sussed.
Things I keep at work: Bran flakes
Things I need to buy for work once a week (to facilitate lunch/ brain function): bread rolls (pk of 12 for £1.60), pint of milk
My treat: once a week we have a work brekkie where we get in from local sarnie shop.
SO as I only work 4 days a week...... I make that 14 days this month I need to bring in my own dinner.
Today it's tined spaghetti worms with 2 of those bread rolls. 1/14loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
