  • i was in the same situation as yourself and i found out about crossroads charity who were a godsend in helping me get the kids to school. look them up, they may be able to help. good luck:)

    As a disabled parent, I was worried about asking for help due to all the 'scare stories' you hear of, however, fact is, I did need help :o and the person who came to visit us was lovely. My children are still at home and there has never been any mention of having them removed from my care.

    Sometimes, people do go through awful experiences but that doesn't mean that everyone else will too.

    I think you have to look at the whole picture and weigh up how much help you need against the worry that your children may become a concern to those in authority.
