Dad and dog have headed back to the north after a couple of hours wandering around at Runnymeade.
So the boy and I are back home and have attempted to have a tidy up, we got as far as doing a load of washing and the washing up...
So tomorrow when the washing is dry we/I need to do some more tomorrow, annoying really that I can only do one load at a time as there are at least three loads waiting plus two sets of bedding.
Hoovering and mopping the entire flat.
Sorting meal plans for the rest of the week so we don't waste too much food before we go on holiday, and then cleaning the fridge.
Start packing - alot of the stuff I'm planning to take is in the heaps of washing so will dry it, iron it then pack it. I need to have a good rummage in my toiletries box for part used or small sizes of things.
We need to order currency, but looks like one of the banks is going to be best. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Another load of washing is done and drying, might be able to get the third (and hopefully final) load in late this evening to dry it over night if I'm lucky.
Other than that the boy and I have spent all day sitting around being lazy, and it really does feel so nice to be able to spend the time together without one of us having to go to work or me disappearing to go do mystery shops. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Ordered currency and have a rough idea of the next couple of days food plan so we can get the fridge fairly empty before we fly.
Just need to finish the washing, pack, and clean the flat still. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had a wander around town, returned a top and pair of trousers which still don't fit so thats £12 headed back to the credit card, but bought a new MP3 player as the old one is quite decidedly dead - forgot to take out with me the gift voucher folder which has annoyed me as I could have bought it with vouchers rather than cash but as I don't plan to go back in to town tomorrow I needed to get it today so I can get the music loaded on to it.
This evening's plan involves making sure the Kindle is set up so I can use it to check my emails, and faceache as I'm not taking my phone and there's no internet connection at the apartment. As well as making sure it's fully charged and all the recent freebies are downloaded - I suspect my poor fb friends are going to get a running commentary on the books I read while I'm away so I can keep track on goodreads when I come home. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Packing in progress, and just had an invitation out for dinner from a friend from the north, so no need to make food for the boy or I tonight - which means I should still have enough bread left to make breakfast to take with us to the airport as I'll not want to eat when I get up at 3am...
In happier news I've recieved the survey payment I requested earlier this week so £11.75 chucked in to the ms float account - as I get paid tomorrow I can't transger my salary as I ususally do so will move all of the float money in to the current account to cover outgoings before I get home (iirc just my credit card monthly payment) the float money is more than the amount I normally pay in so will minimise the interest I pay on the overdraft for the time I'm away and means I have cash just in case the money I take isn't enough for any reason. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Can't sleep so decide to log in and move the money around as my salary arrives shortly after midnight, so money has been dispatched to the joint account, this months council tax has been paid, and sent the money in to my 'spendy' current account, so for at least a week of this month I'll actually be out of my overdraft for the first time in a very long time....course the temptation now is to go to the bank first chance I get when I come home and tell them to close all but the first £100 of my overdraft but that would leave me short of cash for the rest of the month so I'll resist the temptation. That said if I can resist the urge to go spendymad I might reduce the overdraft this month rather than making the extra payments to the credit card from the float money - just use the ms money as it's paid. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Home from holiday, had a fab time, spent pretty much all the cash we took but managed not to need to go visit the bank for more which we're pretty chuffed by.
Intended to do 'all' the tourist sites but only managed Loro Parque, 2 hours on a bus was just a shade too draining (lovely clean air conditioned buses mind you) given we had to be on the first bus before 8am and got home at just gone 9pm. So next trip we'll hire a car and drive up to the crater and see if the lifts are working to get to the summit, then think about visiting the Castles on the northern coast line by bus another day. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Sorted through what felt like a mountain of post - why is it that normally it feels like we get nothing at all yet when we're absent there's loads?
Happily one of the items was the cheque from yougov so thats £50 which can come off the credit card, and £15 gift vouchers leaving another £30 to chase up with the survey company. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
